Kathy was great from the get-go. I had a specific need for my son who was looking for a very focused, efficient and personalized SAT tutor to try and improve upon an already pretty good score. I had an extensive phone call with Kathy (free) and she provided a ton of useful information. We set up a compressed tutoring schedule to get what he needed in in the time he had before the test (less than three weeks!). No results yet, but my son loved working with her and felt the time was very well spent. From my perspective she was very prompt, professional and provided exactly what we discussed on the initial call. Highly recommend!
I recently ran across a review about Quantum Prep and felt like I just had to share my tutoring story as well. I graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington Massachusetts. Lexington High School is a huge school. When I say huge, I mean I graduated with five hundred and eleven classmates. I was always proud to go to Lexington High, we were rated number 19 in 2014 by Newsweek in their Americas Top Public Schools. Luckily my class sizes were always small and it was not too hard to get help from the teacher. The first semester of my junior year I was taking five classes. I was looking into pre-med, so I took a lot of hard science classes that gave me at least two hours of homework a night. I also worked on the weekends, swam competitively, played in the jazz band and was active in my religious youth group. That year I was taking AP Chemistry as a challenge and knew I was going to have a tough time with it. My teacher, Mrs. Compton, was great! She explained everything really well and broke it down for the class. I just really couldnt get everything in my notebook and in my head with enough time to move on to the next topic, so Id lose information here and there, making it really hard to answer test questions. I got the first F in my entire academic career on the first quiz. Im one of those people who expect a lot from themselves, and I expected As. I felt really bad about myself for the first two quizzes because I wasnt coming even close to what I knew I could do. In addition, because I was spending so much time working on AP Chemistry, my other classes were suffering. And as a prospective pre-med student, I was afraid that because I challenged myself I wasnt going to get into the colleges I wanted. That's when I called Quantum Prep for help. As soon as I had the first tutoring session I felt a little more reassured. We went over my quizzes and homework assignments and my tutor quickly picked up what I was missing and how to keep me focused. I felt much more confident walking into class every day. My tutor figured out how I best learn and we started laughing and making jokes as we did stereochemistry. Yes, he figured out within one session that I learn better with music playing in the background and even knew why! The real difference was that he didnt just teach me material, he taught me how to learn for myself. It was a game-changer in how I approached school and learning in general. So while he was teaching me one class, I was using the learning techniques he taught me to improve my grades in all of my classes. He even patiently sat through temper tantrums and low points. So what happened after I called Quantum Prep? The next quiz I took, I got thirty points higher than the last. The first exam; I got a B+. I went on to graduate in a science heavy degree, and got into my first choice for college and graduated with a degree in Neuropsychology. I highly suggest using Quantum Prep for any kind of tutoring. I had such a wonderful experience and have used the lessons I learned from him in so many different aspects of my life, from studying at the university to job experiences. Thank you Quantum Prep!
I can't speak highly enough about Alex! He was a great SAT tutor. Incredibly smart and well versed in all subjects and such a sweet guy.
I was given writing tutoring and it helped me tremendously.Thank you so much Ryan for your patience and thoroughness.
Ihab is quite possibly the best math tutor I have ever had. He is enthusiastic, encouraging, and sharp. He is able to adjust his teaching style to fit the learning style of the student. His years of experience allow him to teach his students material in a way most tutors are unable to. 5 stars.
Gary tutored my daughter for SAT prep early last fall and gave a boost to her confidence in just one session. He worked through practice questions with her and helped her get on track for self-study, including alerting us to upcoming changes in the SAT. We really appreciated his help.
I'm knowledgeable, friendly and patient and I understand that everyone learns differently. I know that math, statistics and programming can be intimidating for a lot of people. So, I always do my best to explain concepts in a clear, concise way that clients will understand. And I provide examples of how each concept can be applied to real-life situations.

The mission of Academic Tutoring for Success is to offer assistance to students or adults who need help in understanding various academic concepts. I offer tutoring, teaching and/or review of math concepts for students at the middle school, high school or college level for those who are taking math courses or are working toward their GED or need review in order to enter into various college level math courses. I also tutor students in the writing process and offer editing services. In addition, I am available to work with ESOL students/adults who need to further develop their ability to communicate in English. I also have experience in working with students who have learning disabilities and therefore may need to learn different methods of approaching academic material. I also have developed a curriculum for training peer tutors at the college/high school level based on CRLA standards. I am available to teach a course that offers professional strategies to utilize in tutoring others, perfect for schools who would like to utilize their students for peer tutoring. I am able to tutor at your home or other public facility such as a local library or coffee shop. I am rather flexible in trying to accommodate the schedules of clients and typically work Monday through Saturday. Students enjoy working with me for many reasons. First, because I am knowledgeable about the subject areas in which I tutor; I am a licensed math teacher at the middle and high school levels who is certified as highly qualified by the State of NH. I am also level 3 CRLA certified as a tutor. This demonstrates that I have been trained to tutor students using various strategies based on the latest research involving how individuals learn. This allows me to utilize practices that promote greater levels of academic success. Students also indicate that I am very easy to work with. Students need someone who is not intimidating so that they can feel comfortable in asking questions. I listen carefully to my clients to access and determine their level of understanding and to discover their difficulties. We then work together so that they can develop a level of understanding which allows them to reach the ultimate goal of being able to complete their work independently. I enjoy being able to share in my students' successes.

I have gained a great amount of experience as working with kids through out my years at the Lego store and hopefully I can help your child succeed in school.
I think I'm very easily able to put myself in the shoes of my tutee. I remember getting my first SAT score results back and being incredibly disappointed. However, I was able to teach myself the concepts and raise my score by > 500 points. I can sense when a student is frustrated or confused, and I'm very good at being flexible and adapting explanations or methods to best fit an individual's learning style.
