I highly recommend Berry's Home Improvements Handyman Services, I would refer him to anyone in a minute, I hired Berrys' because our shower faucet was leaking and needed to be repaired. This Handyman is very prompt and very friendly. The work he did turned out perfect.
Ackthba did a great job replacing our toilet seat, which we thought was a very simple task but 2 contractors prior to Ackthba were not able to handle the task. Ackthba is very resourceful and professional and I will definitely call on him in the future.
Sam diagnosed my leak accurately and fixed it by regrouting my shower floor and walls. Action Air is a 24 hour company and they show up at the time you choose. No more 4 hour windows! :) Amazing! Highly recommend
Walter came in as a last minute save the day contractor. He is a general contractor licensed and insured and came to fix mistakes of another contractor and fix my faucets install. He ended up doing an amazing job and added a sealer to my carrera marble vanity. I am using him again for my next project. He does what he says he will, sticks to price and exceeds expectations. NICE GUY overall. Don't look further!
Mike did several things in my house. He replaced a bathroom sink at a much lower cost than the plumber was going to charge, did retiling in two bathrooms in a shower and around a tub. The tiling tuned out great and enabled me to avoid the big cost of redoing my bathroom shower wall and surface area around my tub. He installed a floor in my laundry room which turned out great and installed an outside light. Mike is honest and his quality of work is excellent. His prices are fair as well. He obviously has many years of experience and is capable of all things you would need a handyman for. I am glad to have found a handyman like Mike and would recommend him to everyone. He also has a lot of creative ideas so if you are thinking of changing/ fixing something but are not exactly sure what you want Mike can give you many suggestions to get you to your goal. His many years of experience are very valuable. I will soon do a resurfacing of kitchen countertops with Mike and I know already with perfect confidence that the countertops will turn out great. Greivin is a very reliable, honest and responsive contractor who did a great job at repainting our house. I offered him the job after he submitted the best bid among 4 contractors to paint my 1340 sq feet house in Hoboken. My walls were painted in dark colors with different rooms having different colors and we were shifting to all white - he did a great job that needed four coats and also agreed to repair our wooden floor in a small corner for no extra cost. He has done a great and timely job - in a condo building, he did the job with no disturbance to neighbors. Highly recommended.
Dexter is a great contractor. He is by far the best contractor I had. He was fair in pricing, and very pleasant to work with. I hired Dexter as a contractor to repair electrical problems I was having in and around my house. Dexter provided and displayed the professional knowledge to me and my mother to allow us to make the best possible decisions. Dexter took on and completed projects that previous contractors started and did not finish. He even troubleshooted the entire project and did the necessary work that the previous contractors didn't want to do. This goes to show that he can be counted on to give 110 percent under all circumstances whether he began the project or he is picking up in the middle from which someone did not finish the project. Basically he does things the correct way--he does not "cut-corners." Regardless of the situation, Dexter will do everything possible to make sure that his performance is correct and done right. Dexter is a great electrician. You should definitely hire him as a contractor.
Marvin was prompt and very professional in his communication with me from beginning to the end of the project. His fee was very realistic and fair. After the plumber repaired the shower line behind the wall, Marvin installed a proper board and retiled to close the hole. He also re-caulked around the tub. The job was well done. I will rehire Marvin for future projects.
What can I say about Anthony, what can I not say about him? He replaced the shower/bathtub fixtures in both bathrooms. He ran into a problem, talked to me about it, then he solved it. He returns calls/e-mails promptly, he's very professional, and knowledgeable re: his craft. His prices are reasonable. He is an all around nice man. He is my go to Plumber for life. I am going to hire him for other related jobs. I will be recommending him to others.
I highly recommend Celtic Piping and Heating. Edward got back to me quickly with an online quote while many other plumbers or contractors refuse to provide even a ballpark estimate without seeing the project. (Translation: it's harder to refuse when someone is standing in your apartment ready to work even if the price is outrageous!) Edward called me back within 30 minutes to arrange for a time and arrived promptly... on a Saturday, no less! I had failed to mention that I needed a drain installed in addition to two faucets and that wasn't a problem for him. He clearly knows what he is doing and my kitchen and bathroom now have a much more updated look thanks to his efforts. Edward is a true professional and he clearly takes pride in what he does. He left me with his card in case there were any problems as he guarantees his work. I don't think that I'll be needing it... until I have another project, that is! Terrific!
My partner and I just moved to NJ from NC and had quite a bit of repairs and upgrades we needed to complete on the new home we purchased. One such upgrade was venting the dryer. This home was built in 1892 so needless to say, the original architectural plan did not include a dryer. The previous owners installed a gas line - but where the gas line had to run to attach to the kitchen stove, made for a really poor location in the basement in regards to venting the dryer. Before Nick came, he let me know a price for a best case scenario, which I appreciated because had he named a price over my budget, it would have given us both the opportunity to cancel the estimate so as not to waste time. Nick arrived on-time for the estimate and at first it was pretty tricky to find a solution for venting the dryer without completely tearing up the ceiling and walls. Nick was persistent in finding though and was able to devise a plan of going through an old nonfunctional window that was hidden and covered. I hired him to complete the dryer venting and also uncap the gas line and install a hose in preparation for the dryer installation. On the day of the project, Nick arrived on time (7:30am on a Saturday) It took him about 2.5 hours to complete everything. He did a fantastic job. One strength I want to highlight is that Nick not only gets the job done, and does it well, but also takes pride in the aesthetics of his work. He could have easily vented the dryer in a way that exposed the pipe all the way along the ceiling and through the window, but instead he figured out a way to fish it under the sheet rock for a cleaner look. He also cleaned his work space completely - which I have found to be rare for contractors in this area. I have had many contractors who were ready to walk out the door without cleaning up their mess and would have done so had I not asked them to clean up before they go. I also want to highlight that I had a sewage pipe issue in the basement prior to his dryer venting project. Nick also does plumbing so I called him at 4pm and he was at my house by 8pm. People who who have hired folks for sewage pipe leaks know that cleaning up the sewage is not part of the job. Nick was willing to clean and sanitize on top of snaking the pipes and clearing them of clogs for a reasonable price. Nick has been great to work with and does great work. I have already hired him to take care of some other projects around the house (installing a shower door, clearing debris in the backyard). Glad we found a go-to handyman for our new home!
Juan was very professional and has done an excellent job in the time frame he promised. I've dealt with many contractors before and Juan by far is the most pleasant to work with. I would strongly recommend hiring him to do work.
I want to thank Darin Sliker for all of the help he provided for me and my mother. I live in the state of Va. and my mother lived in N.J. I had been trying to secure a contractor for repairs that were needed in her tenants bathroom. My mother is 85 yrs. young and needless to say she did not know who to contact for this job. So after trying several contractors, a cousin of mine suggested I go online to "Thumbtacks.com and the rest is history! Darin was very friendly, helpful and very informative. He didn't mind me calling, texting or emailing him at any time. That meant so much considering I live out of state. The work that was done to the bathroom was great and I will always be grateful to Darin and those who worked with him on this project!
Mr Roman has been one of the best contractors I've found on this app! After going through three plumbers he finally diagnosed the problem and completely fixed it so that the sewer ejector system is working and no more flooding problems. He did the work in a day, repaired any holes in the Sheetrock so that it looks brand new and cleaned up after his work. I hired him to solve some other problems that other plumbers had given up on and he tackled the jobs. I will consider him my go to call whenever I need help on my house from now on!
We hires Leo to seal our roof which was leaking. I believe the quote was a little higher than we expected, but we accepted and signed the contract since he could get the work done quickly (next day). His card said something about price match guarantee, so I guess if we had taken our time to get more quotes we might have been able to get a better deal. His quote was only to seal around a leaky vent pipe. Once he got on the roof to do the job he believed the leak was actually coming the seal around the edges of the roof. He sealed the all the edges of our roof in addition to the vent pipe for the same price. So in the end I believe it was a good value since he did a lot more work for the same price. He showed me before and after picture of all his work to ensure we were satisfied. He also guaranteed his work for 6 months. He never really showed up on time. However, he did keep in contact via text messages to let us know he was running late and provided up with updated times to expect him. I have never hired a contractor before, so I don't know how normal this is or not.
Lazlo deserves even more stars! He is so professional, responsive, and downright nice. I hired him to correct another contractor's plumbing mistakes, and wish I had hired him to do the entire bathroom remodel.
Jason and his partner showed up on time and accessed the situation and repaired my shower. They were a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend them to my friends should they ever require any plumbing. Thanks again guys it was great dealing with an honest reliable contractor.
My experience with contractors, including this company, is that you have to have patience. When a job has multiple areas of concentration (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.), there may be different people doing each service; which means that everything is dependent upon each person doing their service in a timely manner, otherwise possible delays. Also, most contractors have multiple job sites where their people are rotated where needed. Since no one can predict a problem will occur, this also causes delays in getting a project completed. All of this is the nature of the job. As I mentioned before, try to have patience. Renovation projects can be frustrating and sometimes upsetting; but if everything is done correctly with minimal errors, the most important thing is that you are happy with the skills provided and the quality of the work completed.
James repaired my shower and dishwasher that were giving me persistent issues. He came on short notice, and after his repair they both work like a charm. Could be happier with his work and professionalism. I would recommend to anyone.
Mark is reliable, competent, experienced, considerate, prompt and reasonable in his pricing ! As a home owner of 35 years, i know what to look for in a home improvement contractor. If you are, as i was, looking for a JOB WELL DONE ...Mark is your man ! He is committed to customer satisfaction ! S.
