We did not hire the handyman. He does not carry insurance. (left Aug 19 2016)Aug 26, 2016Verified
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This is a totally dishonest person with a horrible attitude. We agreed on $300 to install two closets -- with 50% at the start of the job (removing the closets) and 50% upon completion (installing the closets). But when he showed up, he insisted on getting the first 50% before doing any work at all. And then he refused to finish the job unless I agreed to pay even more. He acts as if he's the last handyman in town and can get away with aggressive and unfair business practices. The minute he senses that you need him or that you've paid him more than you actually owe him, he'll take advantage of you. I saw that he was going to keep trying to extract more money out of me wherever and however he could, and decided not to deal with him any more. But he also refused to return any part of the $150. So he basically charged me $150 for 20 minutes of work to remove two closet doors. A rude and dishonest person to be avoided at all costs. (left Apr 5 2016)Aug 26, 2016VerifiedHandy Genius's reply
First we agreed on $320 for 2 closet doors, $120 for one window stopper & $80 to diagnose one heat lamp & I told him I would seal the air leak from the other window FREE. He then negotiated $450 for the whole job. I told him I wanted $150 upfront BEFORE I tore down the closet doors, $150 when one closet door was put up & the rest when the other tasks are done he agreed. I got to the job & he insisted on paying AFTER I tore down the closet doors. SO I did the JOB & got paid. Then he called & told me he wanted me JUST to do the closet doors. I told him ok the price is back to $320 he AGREED & told me to contact his tenant & go to the site when the doors arrive. SO I did when I got the the doors were damaged which he knew & didn't tell me not to come therefore taking up my time. I told him it would be an additional $50 for the wasted trip. He didn't pay he just canceled. That's the whole TRUTH.
DO NOT hire this guy.....he has done nothing but given excuses and broken promises and lies!!! He left me hanging more than once!! Don't be fooled!!!Apr 2, 2018Verified

Sink or Faucet Installation or Replacement
Spoke to Joe, someone else did work.It was excellent he installed a vanity cabinet, new faucet with supply line & new shut off valves. Then repaired a kitche drain leakage ,made sure all pipes were draining.Showed up on time, did work,it was great. But I had to pay in cash and never got a receipt(not good ) .It was so hard to get a person to showup they did but the receipt would have gotten them 5 stars. Would I use them again ,probably.Jan 23, 2018Verified
