Introduction: The relationship between you and your dog is a lifelong bond full of growth and balance! Training is the best way to achieve a healthy relationship. Dogs need fulfillment, structure and purpose. Without direction, they may seek these goals out in unhealthy ways making them difficult and frustrating. I teach people how to communicate with their dog and understand the dog mind. Through leadership, positive and calm but assertive energy, I rehabilitate dogs and set their pack up for success! I have had Golden Retrievers all my life until 2 years ago I got my Husky Liam. Having dogs all my life I believed I was fine and could train him. I quickly learned my knowledge of dog training was limited. Under the guidance of Happy K9 Club, taking courses and many repetitions, I fell in love with training dogs. Liam helped me grow as a trainer and person. I believe we can learn a lot from dogs so I have dedicated my passion into helping others find the balance and happiness as I have with Liam. I train all types of dogs. From fearful to aggressive, big and small, young and old! Obedience, leash reactivity, barking, jumping, separation anxiety and puppyhood.

Working with Jake has been amazing. My dogs have gone from being mischievous all the time and their behavior being erratic to behaving most of the time. Jake is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to dog training. He not only helped my dog but he was so thorough on explaining the why behind my dogs bad behavior. We went through a consultation and weekly training program that has been extremely beneficial. My dog no longer pulls on the leash and is no longer reactive. I wouldn’t trust my pet with anyone else, I highly recommend the happy k9 club NJ for any dog training needs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$150 Initial evaluation and $100 per hour every visit after. I do In-home training.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to gain knowledge about the family first and see the dog in its natural environment. Discussing the main reasons they are looking for a trainer while assessing the reasoning while it could be happening. I go over Dog Psychology and the reasoning why I work a certain way, why some methods or tools may work and others dog. Then I give them an outlined plan as homework until the next meeting.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Having dogs all my life I have the experience of working with dogs on top of taking courses becoming certified in Dog Psychology. Being mentored by Happy K9 Club.
