Tina and Kristin from Head Candy Salon did the make-up and hair for me and my bridal party for my wedding on May 16, 2015 in Hamilton, NJ. From first contact on Thumbtack, to finished product, it was a pleasure to work with Head Candy Salon. Everyone was friendly and personable, which is important to a stressed bride! My hair and makeup trial went really well, both women were receptive to what I envisioned, and were happy to answer questions. They took pictures of everything they did, and really worked hard to make sure I was pleased with the final result. I also liked that the salon made sure the stylists who did my trial would be with me on the actual wedding day. The stylists arrived at my hotel right on time the day of the wedding. They actually were a little early, just to make sure we finished in time to start pictures, which I really appreciated. They set up quickly, and made us feel at ease. They worked really well together, and were really receptive to input from my mother-in-law and bridal party. They were also very sweet to my inquisitive 4-year old flower girl, which was very nice. Tina and Kristin are so warm and relaxed, it felt like they were extra friends in the room helping us out, but at the same time, they worked efficiently and made sure we stayed on schedule. Tina is a phenomenal make-up artist. Every girl looked amazing when she was done. It was unseasonably warm and humid the day of my wedding. We had an outdoor ceremony and most of our pictures outdoors. Despite sweating in the heat, sweating through the ceremony, and sweating on the dance floor (ok there was A LOT of sweating!) my makeup looked FLAWLESS until I took it off at the end of the night. Every single person in my bridal party was completely satisfied with their look. Kristin worked magic with everyones hairstyles. While we had a trial for my hairstyle, we didnt know until the day of the wedding how my bridal party wanted to wear their hair. She adapted quickly, had great ideas, and every single person was completely satisfied. She styled my Maid of Honor and flower girl (who are mother and daughter) in a similar style, which was adorable. She really listened to what my bridesmaid, who has very thick hair, wanted, and coordinated all the styles so there was a lovely flow between all of us. She is an absolute pleasure to work with, and I got so many compliments on my hair! I would highly recommend Head Candy Salon for any weddings or special events. Tina and Kristin were amazing to work with, and I am 100% satisfied with the results!

Head Candy Salon was exactly what I was looking for when looking for a professional hair and make up artists for my wedding day. Looking though pictures of thier profile said it all! These pros have the vintage hair and make up styles down to science, and that is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted unique vintage hair and make up to complement my rockibilly wedding dress and theme. They nailed it! I am so so happy I came across Head Candy and I would recommend them to any bride looking for a great team to work with on thier wedding day. They managed to do a beautiful trial for me prior to my wedding day and they day of made me even more beautiful. On the day of my wedding, they worked on hair and make up for my entire bridal party and did it with class and ease, while being mindful of the time but giving each person proper attention. Head Candy, you absolutely rock! Everyone was thrilled with thier vintage inspired looks and we will all be sure to come back and visit the salon on a regular basis. Many many thanks!!!

Head Candy did a great job. The girls are so friendly. They came directly to the location with 1 makeup artist and 2 hair stylists. Everyone looked fantastic. Very easy to work with. The makeup stayed for over 24 hours!

It all starts with any questions they might have, and we've answered them all! You need to know how many people are in your party and what services they want to have done. We take care of everything else!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have intensive in-salon training every week/month. We are also an Arrojo Ambassador salon and go to NYC monthly for training with Nick Arrojo and his team to stay on top of the latest trends!
