I'm so happy that I chose to learn CPR, AED, and First Aid lessons from Ricardo Camacho Jr. He was very professional through out the whole lesson. For every single question my friend and I asked he had a answer to all of them. I felt very comfortable in the space where we learned everything. The videos that we watched was a lot of fun to watch, I never felt bored at all, I was very intrigued and interested in all of the videos we watched. I highly recommend everyone to take him. Thank you Ricardo.
What to expect: Serious intense training for professional-minded singers. This teacher doesnt play around. Exercises, homework, career building and research are part of the package. Lessons recorded and sent to you in an email. Theyll also help you with demos. Not the cheapest place in town, but not most expensive either and worth the investement for better results. PROS: Complete change in tone, tons of power, mastery of range, perfect vibrato and total control of your sound without thinking about it. Plus confidence in stage presence and your brand as a performer. And lots of performance opportunities. CONS: Hard work and very intense. Not for everyone! Lessons do run late (up to 15 minutes) so that can be annoying, but Charlie (the administrator) will entertain you in the reception area, make you tea and make you laugh 18x before you go in.
I had great lessons with David. I explained what i wanted when i first arrived and he helped me to 'iron out the creases'. Cheers David. See you in October!
Bass lessons with Dom are amazing! He takes great care to patiently teach me music theory. His lessons are well-paced and informative. He is encouraging, skilled, and thorough. Learning from a guitar player as skilled as Dom is truly a dream. I can't wait for the day we will truly start jamming together!
I took voice lessons with Mara for 8 months during my pregnancy and I learned so much and improved enormously! She is an incredible teacher who gives clear instruction and strategies to optimize your voice. She's friendly and fun to work with. I highly recommend her.
Raul is FANTASTIC! He is very much interested in catering to your specific learning style and keying into what you want to get out of the lessons. He loves questions and is full of patience and a great sense of humor. I highly recommend Raul!
Rae has been giving me one hour voice lessons for approx. two months, at her home. What impressed me is her vast experience, patience, and friendliness. She has gone above and beyond, and my voice has improved tremendously. I am very satisfied with the quality of her work and highly recommend her.
Pamela is super sweet and have a ton of great knowledge, advise, and experience in both technique, vocal health, and working on material. I enjoy my lessons every time!
David has been helping me brush up on my theory studies as well as specialized instruction as I learn a new instrument. It's been very enjoyable and an enlightening experience - after only three lessons I'm really seeing the effects of his instruction on my playing. I definitely recommend him to anyone looking to study music, regardless of style, instrument or genre.
Serge went out of his way to meet me earlier than usual. He was both professional and friendly. Informative and patient. He cares! In our first lesson I learned so much. He covered the basics along with a few moves. Serge is the real thing. I can comfortably recommend him.
Michelle has been working with my daughter weekly since early August. We couldn't be happier! Since her first lesson, Michelle has made my 10 year old feel comfortable and confident. Our daughter has been inspired by her lessons and literally doesn't stop practicing singing and keyboard. We have already recommended Michelle to other parents in our community.
Her excercizes helped for breathing and relaxing enough to hit certain notes.
I can't say enough fantastic things about Christopher. He taught my daughter in home guitar lessons. He is professional, responsible, easy to work with and a genius on guitar. He taught my daughter so much and she plays beautifully. I would recommend him to anyone!
Learning with Josh has been a really great experience! I am a total beginner with a busy schedule looking for a fun new hobby and he has done such a good job of tailoring our lessons to what I want to learn and very flexible with scheduling around my hours. He's very nice and explains everything very logically and on my level. Overall an excellent experience that I would recommend to anyone!
I'm only 4 weeks into my lessons and I must say that I truly get my money's worth coming to Jimi. Being a rather shy guy, I was a bit nervous to meet Jimi but he is one of the most genuine and welcoming people I have ever met. Jimi is truly passionate about music and his students and is committed to helping you achieve your goals. I have learned a tremendous amount from Jimi in these 4 weeks--more so than the past 4 months that I played before actually taking lessons. With Jimi, I now have a firmer grasp on how music works through theory and scales. Basically, Jimi is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to music. He possesses a wealth of knowledge ranging from music theory to ear training and is very well cultured on different styles of music. I've watched him play parts of songs from an array of genres BY EAR, from Shinedown's "Sound of Madness" (hard rock), to Ghost's "Cirice" (heavy metal), to REO Speedwagon's "Keep On Loving You" (soft rock), to Rancid's "Fall Back Down" (ska/punk). Every time I saw him play a song by ear, my jaw dropped in awe. So if you live in Long Island and you're looking to learn technique, improvisation, soloing, theory and/or ear-training, Jimi Durso is your go-to guy! It's worth every penny.
Sean is a wonderful teacher and a great guy. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking music lessons.
Kevin is a pro, through and through. I couldn't ask for a more patient, knowledgable teacher! I've taken lesson with Kevin for a few months now, and my music theory and guitar playing have benefited substantially. Kevin always has ideas for exercises to help reinforce a concept we're working on. Despite his incredible expertise, he is always patient and approachable, never pretentious or "over-my-head". I only wish I'd started taking lessons with him sooner! I would 100% recommend Kevin.
Mattie is the best bassist there is. His style has had such an influence on me. Very inspiring. He puts the fun in funk! Crowds of people think so too: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wHn2_xNFiKo Learning from this master bassist is a must.
Kino is really patient with me, and her space is really clean, bright and large, highly recommend her for piano lessons.
Chris is hands down the best guitar teacher I have ever had (I have had six guitar teachers since I started playing 30 years ago). He has taken me further in two months than other instructors did in two years. In every lesson, Chris is constantly assessing where I am in my guitar journey, and plotting a course to get me to the next level. He listens to my every questions and gives succinct answers. His lessons leave me feeling inspired to practice and to just enjoy playing again. For anyone stuck in a pentatonic rut, or just needing inspiration, run, don't walk, to get a few lessons with Chris!
My son and daughter have been taking lessons at the Piano Workshop of Chester with Sonia for the past few years and they continue to make great progress!
