FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have my own standard pricing system, yet also give the opportunity for packaging when requesting multiple services. Yes I am a business owner and this is how I make a living, however, my concern is to also be realistic, affordable, and efficient. I am willing to work with my clients' budgets to keep them stress free and excited for the event they are to attend or up-keeping with the health of their hair. If there are any questions or concerns about pricing, please don't be shy to contact. We will work it out.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I think creating a relationship and trust is the key in any client service. I do not see my clients as a simple one time transaction. I want my clients to feel comfortable with me as a person, a new friend, an open yet confidential listener, and a caterer. I want to know your likes and dislikes of your hair, what facial features you love about yourself so I can use makeup to enhance your natural beauty, and what your favorite colors are to help your personality pop! I want to build an understanding with you because as an artist, I am gratefully creating the look of the story YOU want to tell to the world about yourself for that very occasion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing with makeup since I could remember and at one time, Youtube and Google were my best friends as in researching the purpose of a product. I decided to enhance my skills beginning in 2013, when I realized I wanted to begin my journey of the world of beauty and its wonders of healing the soul. I began by attending The Institute of Therapeutic Massage in Haskell and Bloomfield, NJ with a study of Anatomy, Kinesiology, Swedish massage, and Shiatsu massage. Next, I attended the full Special FX and Beauty Makeup program of Robert Fiance Makeup Academy in Perth Amboy, NJ. I had previously had my brief introductions to certain products through the internet, but it was there that I grew to truly understand why those products were significant after first understanding skin type, facial structure, trends based on era, and etc. I got to experience a heavy amount of practice time on live models in front of professionals whom have already paved a successful way in the beauty industry and I received honest feedback that built me into the strong artist I am today. I didn't want to stop at just understanding the body and enhancing the face, but wanted to also learn to capitalize my client's beauty by understanding hair. Within the same week of graduating from the Makeup Academy, I began my first cosmetology class in the 9 month program of Redken 5th Avenue NYC endorsed school, The Salon Professional Academy, located in South Plainfield, NJ. Here I was taught the basics to pass my state board exam for licensing, however, embraced the perks of enrolling in a more advanced program by being taught haircutting, keratin treatments, color, and styling passed down to my teachers from the successful world reowned platform artists of Redken. Since graduation, I am proud to announce that I have had a pretty successful start. I was chosen back in September 2015, out of thousands of auditions all over the world, to participate in a reality show based on an extreme Hair, Makeup, Nails, and Wardrobe competition titled "Global Beauty Masters". This show aired air on TLC Network on March 18, 2016. I am hoping this show will give a video resume of my work and a chance for my clients to experience some behind the scene action of a stylist! I am also now working as a Studio Artist for Smashbox Cosmetics and Skin Care Representative for Boscia Skin Care.
