Our Labradoodle Charlie is a very friendly but nervous dog. His biggest issues were jumping on people and not listening very well overall. David came into the house and Charlie immediately was jumping on David. David ignored him until he calmed down and then began working with Charlie. He responded immediately!! We always joked that Charlie wasn’t exceptionally bright. Lol! With David’s guidance and training we learned Charlie is quite smart. He only needed the right guidance and training. He’s just more pleasant to be around now.

Details: 2 - 10 years old • Large (41 - 70 lbs) • Private lessons • General obedience training • Leash pulling • Barking • My home, venue, etc.

David’s Dog Training LLC's reply
Hi Alida. Thanks for the review. Charlie is indeed a smart dog who just needs some consistent, calm, assertive leadership. I was also pleased with our second visit when we introduced him to Leo, your brother-in-law’s dog. Leo was extremely cooperative and it was clear that Charlie just needs some socialization skills. We made progress. Charlie needs continued interaction with Leo and consistent reinforcement of both the positive and negative interactions. He showed lots of potential for getting over this challenge.

David gave me some great insights as to why dogs do some of the things they do. He also showed me how to let the dog know who's the boss, in a positive, rewarding and effective way. We have another appointment scheduled.

Hi Frank. Your review is greatly appreciated. Im glad that your experience was so positive and I’m looking forward to our next appointment as soon as we can find a day that’s not so bitterly cold so we can be outside with Biscuit.

David is a great dog trainer! He focuses on using treats and positive affirmations with our dogs to get them to focus, listen, and learn. David also worked with my husband and I to teach us the best way to train and parent our two rescue pups (who have different behavioral needs). David had our dogs listening and responding to him within the first few minutes of walking through our door during our first session together. David was adaptable and helped us work with our dogs both outside and inside. He really got to know us and what works for the dynamic of our household. I am thrilled with the experience we had working with David and would recommend him to family and friends.

Thanks Kristin. I truly appreciate the positive feedback. As always please continue to communicate and let me know how you and the pups are doing. I always want to be a part of the process and ongoing training.

David has recently helped us with training our 3 month of Chihuahua/Pug. He was great and knowledgeable. He spent time speaking with us on the phone about our training needs and spent the time with us in our home and outside. He gave us great feedback and modeled everything we will need to do to ensure our dogs success.
David’s Dog Training LLC's reply
Thanks Elyse. Your review is greatly appreciated. Please let me know when you would like to schedule another session. I look forward to continuing with you.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Rates are $260 for 2 visits or $490 for 4 visits. All I ask is that clients commit to 2 visits and then make a decision to extend or not. Payment schedules are made to accommodate your needs. Each visit is approximately 90 minutes. Many trainers have similar pricing for visits that are only 60 minutes ( or less) My commitment to you: Once I walk into your home I am committed to getting your dog trained and addressing your issues. I am always available to you by phone, text or email. Please read my client testimonials on this site as well as on my website and you will understand how my customers feel about my expertise and ability to get results.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I’ve worked with people from many varied backgrounds. You will find value for the whole family. I especially enjoy working with children and first time dog owners. Your progress is my biggest reward.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you can relate to the trainer. Ask enough questions in the initial phone call to assess skills, methodology as well as the chemistry between you and the trainer.
