I started learning how to ride horses with Lynn as a retirement present to myself and that was over 3 years ago. The experience has and still is glorious. Being a teacher and a teacher supervisor as a career, I found Lynn to be not only a gifted rider but a wonderfully kind, generous and thoughtful instructor. Her direct, simple instruction mixed with anecdotal remarks makes learning fun, understandable and doable. I always come away on a high from my riding lesson. I highly recommend Lynn as an instructor for all ages, from elementary schoolers to big kids like me who always dreamed of riding and finally got the chance.

My name is Teri Laman. I received this e-mail from Marc in response to a request for possibly using your services to take some horseback riding lessons. After reading the reviews, I can't resist posting a review...even before I've spoken to anyone. Well, I'll just cut to the chase. I noticed a lot of 5 star ratings...with very positive reviews. The poor souls who gave your facility a bad rap......well, I'll say a prayer for them. To incite such a brouhaha over such minor incidences seems a little extreme. Marc, I usually wouldn't have viewed your defensive banter with these two ladies (and I use the term loosely), but after thinking about it, for someone to jeopardize and mercilessly drag your integrity and reputation through the mud over having to wait 30 minutes or encountering someone on your staff that didn't realize they were talking to the Center of the Universe (around which we all revolve), your right to defend was definitely warranted. The End I'll be giving you a call to talk about lessons!

My Horses came to MD Performance Horses very underweight with one recovering from an injury. 2 months later the horses are back to good weight and in light training. My daughter is taking lessons and enjoys the barn environment. Marissa and team have been great to deal with and are wonderful with the horses.

About

We provide Western and English riding lessons for people of every age (starting at seven) and riding ability; from people who have never been on a horse to skilled riders who want to refine their skills. We are a complete facility with friendly, professional staff competent to teach everyone — from beginner to advanced rider. Ride in our indoor arena with heated viewing room or one of our two well-lit outdoor rings. Our riding programs offer you a way to get some exercise, relax, as well as enjoy fresh air and the outdoors. We offer a strong commitment to providing the student a quality learning experience, and the experience and knowledge to make that happen. Our commitment is to quality, and not quantity. The amount of students in every group lesson is limited so that every student gets personal attention. Students are assembled according to experience level and ability. We also try our best to put students in the same age groups. We're dedicated to providing a complete education in horsemanship. Our students get instruction not just in riding but also in right handling of horses from the ground, horse management and care, care and selection of proper tack and equipment, and much more! We offer continuous enrollment; you may begin your lessons as soon as you wish and you pay per lesson. We offer leasing for students with some experience in riding, and a desire to ride more often but without the obligations of horse ownership. We offer group and private lessons. To ensure productive learning (in a comfortable atmosphere), students are grouped by similar age and ability. Our school horses are well-mannered and patient, and are trained specially to assist in the process of learning to ride. Summer camp With our many years of experience teaching children to ride, and managing full day children's horsemanship curriculum, we provide a excellent program that will give your children a highly educational and enjoyable summer break. The camp is an excellent way for beginners to get to know horses because it offers "hands-on" experience with handling and grooming sessions as well as daily riding lessons. For experienced riders, the progression of daily lessons and the increased personal attention assist children in progressing even faster than in weekly riding lessons. At the start of a typical day, the children greet their fellow students and the horses, then groom and saddle their mounts. The morning continues with mounted riding lessons and unmounted learning sessions on such topics as horse and stable management, grooming, showing, etc. After lunch, the students may have a trail ride or games and then conclude their day by untacking their horses and giving them a final grooming or perhaps a bath. During each session, the students also plan a special presentation to showcase their skills for their parents on the last camp day. Our instructors know the significance of supportive and careful instruction. Carefully matching the student's ability with the instructor and horse, we focus on cultivating our riders' self-esteem and confidence via genuine development in riding ability. We also stress the important advantages of learning the many on-the-ground facets of caring for and handling their equine partners. Boarding At Hasty Acres, our highest priority is satisfied customers. You are important to us and you can expect us to go the extra mile for you. We provide: • twice daily customized grain feedings (including medications and supplements) and hay, three to four times daily • daily stall cleaning • daily turnout — group and individual for at least two hours • will put on turnout boots and/or other turnout attire • scrub buckets daily and bleach weekly • will change blankets • we'll also arrange a worming schedule and worm your horse (wormer will be added to bill) • vet and farrier arrangement (for these services, will also catch and hold)

Our horsebackriding instruction at Greenlawn Equestrian Center is superior because we emphasize safety first and teach proper positioning to ensure a good foundation for riding in any discipline. In addition our facility is always well maintained and clean. We limit the number of lessons going on at one time to ensure safety in the ring and to avoid overcrowding. I use natural horsemenship between horse and rider and let the bond build from free lunging to being on the saddle, I also let them go around in small circle around me and watch how the rider stays in the saddle while the horse goes at WTC. I also let the rider understand horse body language slowly bringing your horse to you or a horse that you lease or a green horse. I have many more but those were a few things I teach a rider from all ages.
