Introduction: I drive to your house for in home lessons. I have extensive training in my field from leading teachers from many different international schools of piano playing (Russian, French, Italian, German). I also am an active performer and am interested in helping my students to find performance opportunities if they wish. I have knowledge of the competition scene and can train young pianists to participate in competitions if they are seriously committed to this goal. I most enjoy turning people on to music and developing a love for the piano, which is such an amazing instrument. I think fostering a love for music is, first and foremost, the most important thing, because that is what drives the student to constantly keep learning and growing. While it does take discipline to really reach a high level of playing an instrument, I believe that discipline really comes from a genuine love for music. I also enjoy seeing the transformation of students, from having trouble with counting rhythms, or reading notes, or executing a certain technique, to conquering the difficulty and performing with confidence and enjoying the act of playing the piano.
