- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated. I charge by the hour or by the page, depending on the job. For grant writing, however, I must charge by the job, given the wide variety of tasks to be completed -- research, budgeting, consultation, etc. -- in addition to writing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Get to know the customer, get to know the job, determine the feasibility, set a time line, agree on a price, and get to work. I won’t take a job that’s doomed to failure or write a grant for something that clearly won’t be funded.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mostly in computer programming, keeping up with changes in software, but also attending state training sessions for grant applications.
