This started out very business like but ended feeling very personal. I appreciated her gentle, yet very honest, critique. My main request of wanting to know exactly what I needed to improve on when I begin writing my other book, and she wonderfully complied.
This was the second time we hired Adam and LoHud. The comics Adam brought each were unique enough that everyone in the audience had a favorite. But it was Adams hosting that kept the show connected. He is not only a very funny comic but as the MC he engaged the audience and kept things rolling smoothly.
I met Maura a while ago when I was looking for a teacher to help me improve my conversation skills in English. During our meetings she stimulated the conversation by asking lots of questions about myself, about my country, making me not only to use English but gaining the necessary confidence needed to speak in another language that is not my native one. Another valuable thing that I learned from Maura was a good insight about American culture, people and places in NJ/NY. She also recommended me great books for improving my conversation skills, with useful expressions and topics for practice. Last but not the least, Maura shared from her experience in Toefl preparation exam which is one of my future objectives. I recommend Maura for anyone who is interested in improving English language skills.
David was a great help in editing my book! He was able to organize the ideas and get all of the touches done that I, as the author, was in far too deeply to see! He did fantastic job and Crystal Child is now a reality we can both be proud of!
Lily was struggling to improve her SAT score (1800), so we connected with Steve at Crimson Scholars. Steve and Heun did a wonderful job reviewing Lily's previous scores and making a detailed study plan. I love that it's been about two weeks and she's already scoring in the low 2000. We should be in 2200s by October. They're definitely outstanding in my book!
I was initially skeptical of hiring an editor online. However while researching different editors I came across Tami Williscroft on Thumtack. I took the risk and reached out to her. Tami proved me wrong she responded to every email, question, etc almost immediately. She also was not pushy for me to make a decision. That was my first impression which prompted me to hire her. Not only was she amazing at communication she was even better in the editing she did for me. She made several suggestions, allowed me to look them over and went back and forth like this several times. She truly put all of her effort in assisting me in having a final product that could be submitted at the doctoral level. I am grateful to have found her, will use her again in the future, and if anyone is looking I would highly recommend her to others.
Rosemary Donahue is a visionary editor, articulate, dedicated, honest, and detail-oriented, striking the balance between amiable and diligence. She recently co-founded Lumen, the innovative journal of literature and ideas by and for women, which promises to be an important American magazine. She also served as fiction editor of Pacific Review, doing most of the design and layout, demonstrating style, toughness and pizazz under time-pressure at every juncture. She's one of the best editors I've ever worked with in the past twenty years!
Adrienne shows punctuality and adaptiveness when writing the newsletter for my company, Anyone Comics. We only had a few back and forths, on the onset, where I shared with her some resources for information related to comic books. Her instincts of what products to highlight and the language she uses helped create a personable experience for the clients that subscribed. Highly recommended.
Jeremy worked with my son for two years beginning the Summer of 2012 with Matt and reading. As a result of Jeremy's efforts, my son moved up one math level and loves to read now. I use to have to beg him to read and now he's begging I to by books!
The folks at Diamond Solutions set up my web page, which includes advertisement for my new books and my blog. They also help me manage my Facebook and Twitter pages. I am extremely satisfied with the service, which is prompt, quality, and resonably priced. I always get a real person to talk to when needed which is important to me. Would recommend Diamond Solutions to anyone with web-based needs.
Edited my book. Gave logical feedback and was extremely approachable.
I've worked with Laura on several projects, and it's always been a pleasure. She is a real wordsmith! She always helps me clarify my thoughts. She knows how to write them on the page with elegance and skill. I was highly complimented by my boss for a project she helped me with. If I ever write my biography, I will call her.
I usually don't write reviews but I feel that my consulting experience with Chris Traynor last year was important for me - and therefore might be important to you as well. I'm a successful independent author with two novels and one children's book. Additionally, I have experience in course design and executive teaching in the corporate world. In the Spring of 2013, I was contracted to create a special learning experience for our State and City Police Forces in the area of community interaction. I hit a roadblock when it came to creatively integrating the separate lesson modules and, after asking around, I received Mr. Traynor's name from a friend. I spent the next 3 months working closely w/Chris - mostly by phone and email. I instantly felt at ease with his communication style (friendly, supportive) and his questioning ability got us quickly to the heart of the matter each time we talked. The investment I made with him made a significant difference in my course and in the positive response I received, thanks to the good fortune that was offered me through the ability to "rent" a piece of Chris Traynor's whip-smart mind.
Lindsay helped to edit my work of fiction. Not only did I receive proofreading services, but also, Lindsay provided in-depth, constructive commentary with an action plan on how to correct what was needed. I knew Lindsay would be the right editor for this project as I am a big fan of her own written works!
Maria helped write and edit some of my essays and resumés. She did a wonderful job and was very professional. Her skills have really helped out and have gotten me a lot of jobs!
Kat is a truly gifted editor. I’ve hired her on numerous occasions to help me communicate exactly what it is I’ve wanted to say. I’ve received nothing but positive responses on each occasion. Her communication is unparallel and she has a delightfully calming disposition and attitude. Will hire again and again A+++
Julia edited a number of my research manuscripts. In each case, she was prompt in returning edited drafts, and I have been impressed with the thoroughness of her work. Particularly important for me, she was able to recommend edits that fit within the "scientific" style of writing, which is sometimes difficult, in my experience, for editors to do.
I hired Mr. Black to provide editing services for my book. Although I am not one of his best selling authors, I was very pleased with the insightful help he gave me. I would recommend him to anyone who is serious about producing a first rate product in a timely manner. His experience shows in the help he gives and the impact he makes.

I specialize in developmental editing, line editing, and proofreading--I take manuscripts and improve their story arcs and characterizations and fix all grammatical and stylistic errors. But most of all, I punch up the prose--I make it more vivid and more concise, and I make dialog sound more interesting and natural.
