Evis is a great trainer with a lot of knowledge about Kickboxing and martial arts in general He is very easygoing and has a laid back personality but don’t let that fool you:) He can really push you to the max As an intermediate level student I found his method to be interesting His aproach is very methodical and challenging which is what I was looking for As far as training intensity he can really get the best out of you with a very calm way I had so much fun on my first day and really enjoyed his teaching
Andre and his instructor Anthony were both awesome! They were both very professional, knowledgeable, passionate, kind, and fun. They worked with a group of 90 women, teaching them self defense strategies and techniques. All of the girls had a great time, learned a lot, and are now so much safer living in NYC. I am so glad that I was able to meet Andre through Thumbtack. He was extremely accommodating. I truly appreciated all of the work he did.

For almost 10 years, Ali has been the perfect trainer for my 97-year old dad. As my kids were entering their later years of grammar school and preparing to enter the middle grade system, I wanted to make sure they were mentally, emotionally and physically prepared for anything and everything that came their way. I wanted to keep them in shape, protect themselves, build confidence and increase their flexibility and so I found it right here in my home town, Sifu Ivan's Ultimate Martial Arts Acadamy. We have been training here for the past 6 months and this is as good as it gets when it comes to mixed martial arts. You will have an amazing time, meet new friends and find new levels of energy. After attending for several months now, I have noticed a huge positive improvement in the areas of confidence, focus, listening, strength, self esteem, endurance and grades. They are so eager to attend that we quickly went from once a week to twice a week. They look forward to learning new skills and mastering them in order to advance to the next level. The 8 year old who is bullied at school was very happy with his private lesson. He's already feeling more confident and has learned some self defense moves that are appropriate for his age, height, strength level, etc. John will be doing bi-weekly one on one self defense lessons for the next few weeks and then some. Private, personal self-defense, and martial arts lessons with a sensei who has been teaching students self-defense for over 30 years. I have a black belt in four separate martial arts and styles. I am dedicated and committed to both the martial arts and the student's learning and self-confidence. The martial arts began centuries ago with the teacher and student trusting and learning together in a unique and private setting. The student was able to not only learn self-defense, confidence, and protection skills, but they were also able to learn and grow as an individual and as a person. The element of trust became easier for the student as they were able to confide and learn in this sacred and private setting. There are no other students to distract you from learning, no lines, no substitute teachers, no being stuck in the back of the class or the back of the room. All questions were asked and all questions were relevant. The student was always the priority and the focus of the class and session. Always more time for learning and confidence building. That's the tradition where I came from and what I believe in. No uniform is required, no long term contract, and no hidden fee. The only request from me, Sensei Dennis, is for serious students only who keep their word, who come to class on time, who are respectful to the martial arts and the sensei, and who are willing to trust and learn. Any student who is willing to learn comes into the room leaving their ego at the door. With that agreement in mind, then that's our contract. Private classes are 90 minutes long and can be requested for any day of the week at any time provided that the time is not already scheduled. Semi-private and small group classes can be requested and done upon request. Classes can be in the day, afternoon, evening or late hours. Classes are for men, women, children, and couples. No age is too old or too young. Everyone is welcomed. Remember that personal safety and protection skills never goes out of style. Because I'm not doing this solely to get paid. I want to live in a world where a large majority of the population has studied some form of the art. I believe that if a large enough group or community train the amount of negative things that happen will decrease because they would have something that instills them with purpose and meaning.
I am teaching self-defense and fitness based on Taekowndo, Jeet Kune Do, Arnis, boxing, and kickboxing. The student gets practical skills and sparring safely.
