Middle School and High School Math Tutor

Introduction: I am a certified teacher of Mathematics and Physics in the state of New Jersey. I currently work for the Orange Board of Education where I am an instruction coach for high school math teachers. Prior to that, I was a Teach For America Corps member and taught high school Math, also for Orange BOE. I have experience working with under-performing students, students with IEPs, and students with English as a second language. I also have experience with writing curricula and assessments aligned to the Common Core and PARCC assessments. Overall, I enjoy working with students and helping people better understand Math and not just memorize algorithms and shortcuts. I have been tutoring children in Mathematics for over 9 years and hope to continue to do so in the area of Common Core.
