This was the first time I have ever hired a mover in my life! I started my search using Thumbtack - requesting quotes from Local Movers. Ronel from Simply Moving contacted me right away and then worked with me for weeks while I planned and fine tuned my move. She followed up and stayed in touch regularly. When I finally committed to my move date, I told her that I was nervous using a mover because I had heard so many horror stories. I told her I needed Simply Moving to be awesome on my move date - she said they are awesome every day! I loved that response - the confidence! And it was so true! On the move day, they showed up on time, packed and wrapped all the furniture and moved my boxes out to the truck. We made a stop at my storage unit - the guys quickly and efficiently emptied that and then on to the new apartment. At the apartment they got all the furniture up the stairs and into the apartment without a bump or scratch. I honestly couldn't be more happy with my experience and the professionalism that was shown by the Simply Moving Team!
Very efficient! First of all the movers were 15 minutes which is a huge plus. They didn't waste any time moving my belongings and finished less than 2 hours. I highly recommend them
Moving with SEKA was a breeze. The guys moved fast, without wasting any time, and the whole process was over in 3 hours. I was especially impressed with them navigating 3 flights of stairs, up and down, in an old NYC walk-up building, with clunky pieces of furniture. Our furniture has survived without a single scratch, because SEKA movers wrapped everything so well. Overall, I am very pleased and will recommend SEKA to anyone.
Reginald was great to work with. He communicated well ahead of time for a cancelation due to snow and rescheduled quickly two days later. We just used Great Movers for our local move and we were so happy with the entire process. We did a lot of research, received quotes from many companies. We decided to go with Great Movers. Moving team reached on time, they were quick and professional. Moving is usually a nightmare but our move went so smoothly. We will be using them again and we also recommend to our family and friends.
CCS handled my move and they did a really great job. The movers Sylla and Andrea were courteous, quick, and efficient. Amber was great throughout the quotation, scheduling, and COI process. I would use CCS again.
We had two couches moved from a 2 story walk up in Jersey city to UWS. The movers were great. Easy getting the couches down and into the city. Only issue getting one into bedroom in apt. Movers removed legs and couch went in room easily. Would recommend and use this mover again.

Our move was really 'seamless' as they advertised. Blue Moving was referred to me by one of my best friends. One of the owners, Mitko, was really helpful in the pre-moving process, during, and after the move. He always kept in touch and we, my husband, two kids and and I, felt very comfortable letting him handle our move. We moved from a large two bedroom in Gramercy down to Tribeca. The movers showed up on time, packed, moved and unpacked all in two days, with no damages!! They took care of our art, furniture and other belongings like the were theirs. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future.
I really enjoyed working with Alex who set everything up. He was extremely responsive and answered all my questions. The movers were also good. They worked really hard and did not waste any time. My complaint is that they didn't communicate much and did not follow a lot of direction of where I wanted my things. In the last hours, they started combining rooms (for example kitchen with bedroom and living rooms items in the same box) so it was hard to find when unpacking. They also overly packed some items (wasting material), but other things were bare and I'm not sure how they didn't break. But overall, they got the work done which is what I wanted. Be aware the estimate may off. I expected them to be there for 3 hours for my 1 bedroom apt (appliances were not part of the move) and they ended up being there for 8 hrs instead, which put me way over budget.
Movers were 30 min late, but were very apologetic and it didn't hinder the moving. Both were very polite and friendly. They were very very careful and surprisingly fast. I was extremely please. Communication with the company was shockingly fast--they're extremely responsive. Typically I would get a response within 5-10 minutes. They were as flexible as possible given my moving situation and the price was fair. Overall I am very very very pleased and if I move within the area again, I will definitely use these guys again if I can. Best moving experience I've had thus far.
I reached out to Vlad in a bit of a predicament. Due to a perfect storm of a vacationing loan officer, a confused appraiser, an eager builder, and a noncommunicative landlord, I knew that I had to move within a 12-hour period in the next week. I just didn't know which day. I called around to about 5 movers, and emailed 10 more, only Vlad was willing to be "on call". After inputting all my information, Vlad sent me a non-binding estimate (More on that later). Later that week I emailed him with an exact date, less than 48 hours in advance, he quickly agreed. On the day of the move, I told Vlad that I wanted to move as early as possible, he gave me an hour window, 8am-9am. He showed up 7:30am ready to move. My wife wasn't fully ready, so they started in the other rooms until she left for work. Packing went well. I had done nearly no packing. My wife had an overnight bag, and I had walked around for about an hour throwing things out. Other than that we were totally unprepared (laundry was still on the floor and my mail was on the counter). The men weren't phased and packed through the morning, ending at around noon. There was a slight delay caused by a double-booked freight elevator, but they were as efficient as possible. I did ask that they eat lunch while we waited to save time, and they declined. But I can't complain because they ate while they drove and didn't waste any time (they arrived at the new house withing 10 minutes of me getting the keys). Plus, I wouldn't have wanted to have my lunch at a jobsite while the customer was watching, so why would they? As for the actual packing, they did a great job of using a sane amount of materials, and saved money by using my own luggage and boxes where appropriate. Other movers (especially when you buy boxes from them), use thirty sheets of paper, bubble wrap, and a two boxes to wrap up a cup of pens. Vlad and his men were more selective, saving me money (as well as aggravation during the unpack). Unloading was also a breeze. There was one box explosion, one broken glass, one misplaced box, and few possible dings, but nothing noteworthy, costly, or too aggravating. The total bill came within $100 of the estimate, which was extremely reasonable considering the delay with the elevator, and the cursory description of the apartment. I would definitely recommend them to a friend, especially one that was using them to pack. Vlad and his men are extremely helpful, reasonably priced, highly efficient, and the quality of their work is above-average.
Most movers are late and wishy washy and don't bother to keep you in the loop, at least in my experience. Well, we were scheduled for 9am, and not only were the crew from Tony's not late, they actually showed up a full half hour early, ready and raring to go. Here's how good these guys are. My wife and I had literally been up all night trying desperately to get everything packed but were woefully behind schedule. When Philip and his crew arrived, I explained to them we were late and to please just take everything that was packed, and we would just handle the rest ourselves the next day. As it is, we had grossly underestimated how many boxes we had, and were probably already over the number that our quote had been based on. Instead of being glad they'd have less work to do, Philip actually had his guys building boxes for us and encouraging us to just fill them while they worked so we'd have less to do ourselves the next day. I was exhausted and had already given up, but these guys literally motivated me to get a second wind and I must have given them a dozen extra boxes to take. Probably more. In the back of my mind, I kept thinking, ok, well this is gonna cost me. They have a flat rate, but we had exceeded the estimate by a large margin. These guys took a 220 lb CRT television like it was no big deal. Anyway, when the time came to pay up, a full five hours later, the price was unchanged. I can't imagine how much extra materials they burned through, but they didn't charge us a penny extra. Better, they had our TV wrapped in a blanket, and since our apartment was still pretty much under construction, they didn't want to unwrap it and leave it at risk, so they just gave us the blanket to keep so the TV wouldn't get damaged. This is the kind of place Tony's is, and Philip and his crew in particular. They were the nicest guys you can come across, never had one complaint or negative word to say. Oh, and about that price. It wasn't like some compromise where we decided to pay more for better service. This was a rock bottom price, by far the lowest estimate we could find. I can tell you at least one place estimated THREE TIMES the price. Another, well-regarded moving company quoted us double and said anyone who quotes less will upcharge you at the last minute when you have no choice. Not only did these guys not do that, but they had every opportunity to and chose not to. I really can't say enough good things about these guys. If you have any doubt whatsoever, drop it. I absolutely assure you they are the real deal. By far the best movers I have ever seen in action. I will use them exclusively going forward, and will recommend them to everyone I know who needs movers. You'd honestly be a fool to go with someone else. And I'd ask for Philip, personally, if I had to do it all over again. He wasn't just patient, but went out of his way to reduce our obvious stress. This is the place you want to go with, take my word for it.
It was a great move. The movers were on time (actually even early!), they were friendly and careful with our items. We went with Superb's hourly rate and I was a little concerned that the movers wouldn't be as efficient as they would otherwise - but I was wrong!! My roomies and I helped load and unload with the crew and we got everything done in a third of the time we had anticipated. It was rad!! Additionally, we just want to note that Jairo's truck driving is unbelievable! he had to back up and park into the narrowest and worst spaces and he did so without a flinch. We took video and we show it to our friends all the time :) "el mejor" All in all the experience was positive. We felt like we were moving with friends that knew what they were doing, and we will definitely use superb for future moves.
Considering they're charging by the hour the movers were working at an exceptionally slow pace. One of the movers kept stopping completely tp chit chat and flirt with me and show me his hobbies on his phone, or was wandering around aimlessly with one object not knowing where to put it down. Another mover broke the leg off of one of my wardrobes and took a half hour detour to get tools to replace it, then spent an hour of his time just putting the foot of that wardrobe on to the furniture again. Even with a slight discount due to that fact, I felt like having 3 people move a small room of stuff to a studio 2 miles down the road to the new apartment should not have taken more than 4 hours.
Mack from Always Moving and his crew worked effortlessly and tirelessly for hours all while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. After calling several movers and getting estimates, Mack stood out from the rest not only because of value, but also because of responsiveness and politeness which is something you usually don't get from moving companies. Because of this I felt extremely comfortable and confident that my move would go smoothly and my furniture and valuables would arrive at my new home safely. Everything went better than expected and I am so happy I chose Mack!
This company is great from the phone service to there movers. They responded very quickly to my calls and were very helpful with all the questions I had when my day came to move. The guys showed up on time and got right to work they prepped my apartment so that that my walls or furniture would not get messed up. My biggest worry was during the transport to my new home in Chicago. My stuff arrived within the days they told me and all my stuff was the same as it was when they picked it up.
