Introduction: Moving is an important part of our lives, yet with all the technology we are moving less, hence feeling more pain, discomfort and limited-range-of-motion. Through yoga and thai bodywork, I develop sequences that will help you move better and use your body efficiently with less pain - from picking up your children to carrying bags of groceries. I believe it is essential to know why you are practicing or moving in a specific manner as it will help you remember and practice more often. Stress relief and deep relaxation are some of the numerous side effects.

I've been practicing core yoga with Janel for almost two months now and it quickly became my routine. Class is quite challenging yet additive. New poses are added every one or two weeks that even more challenging. Janel really do a great job of encouraging me to push my limit and keeping the good vibes of the class thanks for her sense of humor. I am feeling much stronger then I was two months ago with less back/neck pain. Stress level is greatly reduced too as I don't feel like I need a escape trip to release my stress (I am enjoying staycation). Recent blood work shows that my HDL(good cholesterol) is greatly increased compared to 7 months earlier results. Thank you Janel!

I have been a student of Janel's for over 6 years, and I credit her with truly introducing me to yoga and the benefits of practice, whether it be a traditional flow class or a more restorative session. One of the first things I noticed when I began taking her classes is that she is very focused on anatomy and proper form, which really matters to me. Janel is extremely patient and encouraging, and never condescending - her priority is making sure that her students are getting the most out of their practice, at whatever level they may be. She genuinely cares about her students and makes an effort to get to know them and their health and wellness goals. She welcomes feedback and suggestions for what she should incorporate into her classes. I cannot recommend Janel more!

It has been a pleasure to work with Bendbowbridge/Janel! She is an extremely dedicated and talented yoga teacher. My husband and I met Janel in a local yoga studios in Hoboken 4 years ago. We haven't switched yoga teacher since then and now we practice via private sessions (as our schedule got way busier and less flexible). We learned all we know about yoga and our bodies possibilities with Janel. We started as beginners and would have never thought that we would practice acro yoga one day. She has been truly inspirational and supportive. She always listens to our bodies 'wish-list' and is ready to adjust the session accordingly. She also introduced us to meditation practice. Even though it is work in progress, she continues to walk us through different meditation techniques. Where we are now with Janel's guidance - body awareness, more flexibility, more poses that we can do on our own after a stressful day to help detox, back to a strong core post baby and less back pains after sitting 12 hours a day every day. We are looking forward to even more flexibility and more challenges from Bendbowbridge! Sasha&Randy S.
