In my life at age 40 I have met few people that have sacrificed the basics in their life and refinanced their own expenses- to be certain they have funding for making themselves completely available to dedicate their life teaching students. Yvonne has shown me every step of they way she is paving a new road for many kids and young adults. Even as an adult - you can learn a great deal from her by paying attention to her emotional intelligence and calm level headed approach to challenges in this life. Creating and finding alternative routes in problem solving and changing perspectives on how individuals learn and process information- is one of many talents she has to share. If anyone wants their life- or the life of their child to be enriched - Yvonne Thevenot will take anyone who tries to new level of achievement in any productive aspect of life they choose. As I have seen her progress with students of all ages I realize it is only a matter of time until her name is recognized nationally and internationally among educational leaders and organizations. It brings me a huge sense of hope for many lives without her, would remain unchanged in our future. It is a blessing that I personally know of her focus, drive and perseverance. The reward she gets is seeing others succeed at whatever they have the desire to do, because without her unique approach and guidance their lives would have remained unchanged and uninspired to be confident enough to reach for new heights.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All the time. The most impactful activity I do is collaborate with a group of teachers who are as progressive, if not more, than I am. We do Google hangouts, share what works in our classrooms, and feed off of each others' experiences.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love helping people succeed. I truly believe the if I can contribute what I am good at, the the person or people receiving it will win, and everyone is happy. I first discovered this when I had my first tutoring assignment when I was in college. For 3 years, I taught a 33 year old woman how to read and write.
