I am one of Davids students and I can tell you he is an excellent music teacher as well as producer and vocal coach. I started my piano lessons with David and within 3 or so months I was already playing full songs. Currently I am recording an album project at Posterity Studios with David as my producer/engineer and vocal coach. I can tell you that so far what has been pre-produced is very impressive and I am enjoying the direction the album is taking. Not only am I having David provide some of the music, but I also have live instrumentation being recorded as well....guitars, drums, and bass along with my background vocalist. So if you are looking to take lessons for piano or for vocal lessons or plan on cutting an album, Posterity Studios is the place to go. I am pleased with the lessons and also with the work David is doing on my album project.
This is the place you want to go if you want to learn anything related to voice and vocal performance. Since the lessons are 1 on 1, the experience is highly personalized and tailored to suit your specific needs as a student. Patrick is the main instructor and does a phenomenal job of explaining concepts and developing them into reality. You will find yourself with a voice you didn't know you had after just a few lessons and practice. Each lesson focuses on vocal exercises and specific songs to work on, but you can work on specific points of difficulties as well, as said before each experience is personalized. Jon Price is another instructor which also does an outstanding job as a teacher and vocalist. Both instructors are extremely helpful. The program is organized, with specific goals and objectives being set so your progress can be kept track of. These are all kept on a USB stick along with any other media materials a student may need such a songs, recordings of each lessons, exercises, and more. They also offer Saturday bootcamps for free, which are group voice lessons that focus on other subjects that can greatly benefit your learning progress. Another amazing part of it is that they offer open mic parties on select Saturdays, where a large group of people come together and listen to each other perform a song that they have put a lot of work into. After going to several myself, it really impresses me and others alike to see people come again and again and be able to really hear the positive progress they have made. And the best feeling is probably when everyone claps for you afterwards, acknowledging not juts your performance but the work you put in to achieve it. Afterwards, it becomes a social event and overall really becomes a night to look forward to and look back upon to remember. If anyone is looking to vocally train, go here and the only problem you're going to have is that you didn't go earlier!
I am looking forward to continuing music lessons with David. I met him for the first time this week. I know that he will be able to achieve my goals. I was looking for a teacher that specifically can teach sight singing. I am more than confident that I'll be sight singing very soon. David is obviously is genuinely passionate about teaching. It is a career for him not just something done here and there. I'm lucky to have met him.
Rae de la Cretaz is a magician! I walked into my first lesson with her seven short months ago, after many years of longing to take singing lessons and a year of procrastinating. She put me right at ease, and I got to experience her incredible store of knowledge, energy and outright passion for the human voice. When I came in, I had what I described as a "pleasant" voice, no better, no worse. I had been singing (mostly to myself) for my entire life, and for the last 18 years with a choir. The change in this short amount of time still surprises me. Sometimes when I sing during my lesson, I hardly recognize that it's me singing. There's a richness that I would have admired in others, but never thought would be possible for me. People whose opinions I respect have come forward and remarked favorably about my voice, something I didn't experience before. In the short time that I've been taking lessons with Rae, I've learned so much, and look forward to coming to each lesson. She is a treasure!
Awesome teacher, he just jumps right in with you. Our first class I learned the basics of drums, names of each, some drum rudiments and then we went through some songs I liked and played along with the music. The lesson was fun, Mike is super easy going and provides lots of good feedback.
I have never taken singing lessons before. With just a couple of lessons with Mara I have noticed a tremendous change in my vocals. I am able to reach notes that I did not know existed for me, I am in better control of my breathing, my phrasing is better and overall became more confident in my singing ability. Thanks Mara!
I have not been working with Pamela for long, so ask me again in a couple of months and I'll probably change to 5 stars! So far I enjoy my lessons and the exercises we do have already expanded my range. My high E used to be just a squeak but now I can really sing it after only a few lessons, and I even feel more confident with my lower range - something that has always been a struggle. I look forward to seeing what is in store with her guidance. I fully recommend Miss Pamela!
Michelle is the piano teacher I wished for when I was a kid! Michelle is patient, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. One of the things my 7-year-old loves most about Michelle is that she lets her explore her musical creative side. Michelle has guided my daughter in composing her own music, tackling tough songs of her own choosing and in introducing instruments like the harmonica into her selections. Michelle is always upbeat and full of positive energy and as a result my daughter loves her music lessons.
I am just beginning to learn how to play the drums as an adult for the first time. With in just a few months Tad has given me many tools to make strides toward feeling like a real drummer. The lessons are really fun as well as challenging. He pushes you to break beyond what you feel you are capable of. Awesome lessons, as well as super professional and in a comfortable cool studio. I am excited to see how far I will go with the help of Tad!
Anette gave voice lessons to my 11 year old daughter. She was knowledgable, patient, and fun. She worked on songs that my daughter wanted to sing. She was understanding about school schedules. And it was great to be able to hear the entire lesson through dropbox.
Gregor is a kind and supportive teacher who made my lessons fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend him to anyone who is considering violin lessons for the first time or already an experienced player.
Kino is really patient with me, and her space is really clean, bright and large, highly recommend her for piano lessons.
My daughter had her first lesson in music yesterday and she loved it . I learned a few things myself . Mrs. L knows her stuff . She's very easy to get along with and keeps her lessons fun and upbeat. You can tell she LOVES what she does .I'm so excited for my daughter future . Thanks Mrs.L
Tim Russell was truly helpful in teaching me how to sing, and his lessons were always very enjoyable. He is really good at making you feel comfortable in his classes. He understands how to enable a person reach their maximum singing potential. As a beginner, I had no previous training, but he was extremely patient with me and made me feel more comfortable with my singing voice. As our lessons went on, he incorporated more vocal exercises in order to help me achieve new areas with my voice. He was very effective at adapting his coaching while I got better at singing. My voice literally transformed in ways that I had previously thought impossible. I literally went from receiving dirty looks to applause when I sang! All this was done with just 16 lessons with Mr. Russell, and I am eternally grateful. He truly loves his job and is both passionate and knowledgeable about his field, and I strongly recommend him as a vocal coach.
Working with Oriana has been a wonderful experience. She challenges you, but still moves at a pace that allows you to grasp each new concept. Every lesson is customized and I feel that she is truly invested in my progress. Our piano lessons are one of the highlights of my week!
Michael is an excellent teacher that's easy to relate to and fun to learn from. He tweaks his lessons based on your interests and goals which makes the experience a lot more engaging. For someone who was learning western music for the very first time, he made it very approachable and taught me some basic music theory too. Overall, I'd highly recommend Michael...he's a fantastic and versatile player himself, with a clear knack for teaching.
Amazing vocal teacher! Nicky is a great vocal teacher who is kind and patient. She has been working with my 11 year daughter for about 3 years. Nicky makes the extra effort to use age appropriate songs and part of the lesson includes music theory. Win win! My daughter can’t commit to the practice time necessary with an instrument, so we went with vocal lessons with Nicky. With singing she can practice any time and anywhere. Nicky has been able to bring out some beautiful notes, making this mom very proud. Can’t beat the price - she comes to our home and is a very accommodating with our crazy schedule. Again she is an AMAZING vocal teacher!!
Working with Genya is fun! She has a gentle and encouraging style coupled with a great sense of humor that has made even vocal drills enjoyable after a long hard day at work. She has a deep love of music that is just contagious; and if, on occasion, I leave my enthusiasm at home, she has plenty for both of us. She also hones in quickly on whatever bad singing habit I may have picked up and works efficiently to correct my technique. She is able to deliver information at a good pace, without ever moving too quickly. To me, Genya has the whole package: she is light-hearted and fun-loving, she has a deep love and understanding of music, and she has natural teaching ability.
I’ve been getting Music Composition lessons from Joshua for a few months now and it’s been a great experience. He’s a very patient and knowledgeable teacher and has given me valuable information and direction. Each lesson has been insightful and thorough and never feels like you’re being rushed at the end. I highly recommend Joshua for anyone looking to expand their musical horizons and I’m looking forward to continuing my lessons with him.
Corinn has taught my daughter for 7 years for both piano and voice. She has instilled a love of music and passion for learning that few could have. She has patience, knowledge and professionalism in addition to being a wonderful person. Would recommend her to anyone... You simply won't find better.
Their platform makes finding and scheduling on-going children's violin lessons easy. Their fee is based on monthly installments but their trial lesson allows one to figure out it they are the right fit before making a commitment. The teacher they assigned works very well with our 8 yr old. He provides a nice balance of structured enhancement, encouragement and expertise. Some of the pieces she is working are quite hard and he is able to break down the music in manageable steps so is able to learn and not get frustrated.
