I came to Vladamire initially to work out my marriage issues and felt an instant connection with her as she was warm, open, and quick in understanding the issues. I think she is more than a marriage counselor, she has been there for me when I was at my lowest point and separating from my husband - she called, texted and went above and beyond what I think other therapists would do. She cares about her clients and not only helps to analyze the issues but focuses on solutions, ways in which we can heal ourselves. I would have never reached the point that I am at now which is a healthier view of my relationships and the most important relationship of all - with myself! I am grateful that I met this amazing woman and hope that others will benefit from her wisdom. I highly recommend Vladamire to those that wish to not only heal themselves of whatever pain they are going through but to discover themselves and their gifts to the world in the process.
Vladimire is truly one of the most caring people I know. She helped my husband and I get through our toughest times. She was caring, considerate and gave us advice that was hopeful . This advice helped us solidify our relationship and allowed us to take a leap in our troubled relationship. Through the tough times she has never lost patience and encouraged our relationship to flourish into a loving marriage. I will forever remember her as a fantastic therapist who never gave up on us.
Vladimire is an exceptional therapist and I look forward to continuing my counseling with her.
Dr. Batchelder or Sarai , as she prefers to be called, is the most compassionate, insightful, knowledgeable, and the kindest person I have ever met. For the past nine months, I have been her patient. I came to Sarai with issues of extreme anxiety, insomnia and panic attacks which took over my whole life. Although I am in my sixties, I cannot remember a time without these problems. Therefore, I was extremely skeptical that anyone could help me change. However, as my sessions went on, little by little, Sarai taught me how to put things in the right perspective. As a result, I currently feel so much calmer and happier than in a long, long time. Sarai is not only an amazing listener, but she also provides great advice. Whenever I had a panic attack, I would call her. Although she said that I could call her anytime, she probably did not anticipate my phoning at 5 AM . In my defense, I assumed that I would vent on her answering machine. Imagine both my surprise and embarrassment when she not only picked up, but took the time to talk. As a result of making so much progress, my life has truly turned around. I would recommend Dr. Sarai Batchelder to anyone. She truly is an angel on my shoulder. Iris
I have been seeing M. Batchelder for over ten years. She has been a great help in getting me through the most difficult years of my life. She has been treating me for depression and anxiety and I am feeling better than I ever expected. She has helped me through both my career and problems with marriage. She is open minded in her work and will work hard to find way to help without ever being dogmatic. I would recommend her and have.
I've been struggling with anxiety and anger issues since teenage years, and have tried therapy in the past but never stuck with it because I always found myself getting impatient with the therapists or the process. However, Dr Eskalyo slowly but efficiently helps me realize the benefits of psychotherapy, by digging deeper into my subconscious mind. She never makes me feel judged, or pressured. Scheduling is flexible, which works with my crazy work schedule. She's also very cooperative and patient with paperworks for my insurance. I highly recommend Dr Eskalyo, especially for those who are skeptical but would like to try therapy.
I met with Dr. Eskalyo for several years. She is incredibly insightful, empathetic, helpful and the consummate professional. She helped me change my way of approaching interpersonal conflict and made me a better communicator. I became much more aware of my own feelings and reactions and in turn, saw a huge improvement in the way that I approached situations and how I took in and responded to others. I always trusted that what I shared was confidential, and it felt like a true partnership - rather than someone just listening or just lecturing. I recommend without hesitation.
Dr. Eskalyo helped me during a very challenging time. She was patient, thoughtful, and sensitive, yet honest and firm. Her treatment ranged from addressing immediate emotional crisis to exploring deeper psychological concerns. I found my time with her to be a turning point in my life, and I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to make that turn with her. I give Dr. Eskalyo my highest recommendation.
I have been fortunate to consult with Dr. Khodik and find that the compassion that he shows his clientele is matched only by the outstanding professionalism and knowledge he uses to help them work through there problems. Are you feeling stuck in a relationship or career transition and don't know how to proceed next? Are you experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression as a result? Would you like a collaborative, active therapist to help you make links between past and present, intentions and actions, helping you move forward? I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the psychodynamic and relational-interpersonal treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. I received my education at Tufts University and Long Island University. I completed postdoctoral training in both outpatient community mental health for families and interpersonal psychoanalytic therapy for adults. I offer a flexible, integrative treatment approach, tailored to each client's individual needs. Having published research on the uniqueness of each client-therapist dyad, I tend to be active, using moment-to-moment process in therapy to help you understand patterns and create change in your primary relationships. My areas of interest and expertise include relational and occupational transitions in young adulthood, anxiety, depression, trauma, parent-child relational problems, social and developmental delays, including autism-spectrum disorders across the lifespan, play therapy, and family therapy. I would welcome the chance to help you make progress.
My priority is to tailor treatments for the individual and not obligate customers to conform to predetermined methods as a therapist. I provide individual, couples', and group treatment, and if applicable, can provide a combination of these modalities. Above all, I value the growth potential and creativity of every human being. I believe that no matter how firm one may be in a given situation, change is possible. I strongly believe in the power of the therapeutic process to heal and to grow. Though it may be hard work and at times somewhat painful, if you are committed to the process, there is so much to gain. As a therapist, I take a holistic approach to working with people. I have close relationships with other psychologists, psychiatrists, naturopaths, acupuncturists, nutritionists, and physical therapists. It is my belief that therapy will not be effective if there are significant imbalances in other areas of ones life, the most basic of which are diet, sleep, and exercise. In my opinion, one of the limitations of modern medicine is the extent to which people specialize. It inevitably leads to treating symptoms and component parts versus treating the person as a whole. The mind and the body are inextricably bound. I keep this in mind during all of my sessions. David Younger, PhD, CGP, PC is a New York state-licensed psychologist.
