Introduction: Being a DJ is thrilling and I love being able to give you and your guests the best experience possible. I became a self-taught DJ in 2002 and have been in business by word-of-mouth ever since. Thumbtack is a new platform I decided to join in order to expand and connect with more clients in the Tri-State area. Since 2003 I have been involved with many events including weddings, graduations, sweet sixteens and corporate events that require something different each time. I focus on my client’s specific needs and give them the very best to keep their guests dancing throughout each event. I really enjoy playing all types of music including 50s/60s/70s/80s/90s/Pop2K/Rock/House/Reggae/Disco/HipHop and more! My specialty though is House music 😁 Reliability, professionalism and quality is what I do and as your DJ/Emcee I will do my best to make your event amazing and memorable! I can provide you with everything needed to make your event a success including speakers, lighting, music, microphones, dancing on clouds, photo booths and more! Upon request I have a full list of previous clients from all types of events that would love to tell you how great I was as their DJ and please take note I am not bilingual. Jason came to DJ a school fundraiser (adults only!) this past weekend. He was absolutely fantastic. Not only was he so easy to work with leading up to the event (responsive, punctual, thorough), he was truly an awesome dj during the event. When he arrived prior to the event to set up, he lent a helping hand with regular decor set up once his set up was done (loved this willingness to help), and during the event he played music and emcee’d with such seamless ease. We absolutely loved working with him, and will definitely work with him again in the future!

Where do I begin - I was hesitant on booking on Thumbnail since it was not a referral and thank god I did. Jason was my party. He worked with me before the party and took all my song selections and timing of everything . He arrived at the party an hour before to make sure all would run smoothly. He started a few minutes before the party and was able to go an hour longer with no issues. He took song suggestions during the party and was amazing with the flow of the music. All the feedback I received after the party was your DJ was great! two fo my friends want to book after my party. Cant wait to dance to his music again. Thanks Jason! We hired Jason to DJ our wedding and could not be more happy with our decision. From start to finish, working with Jason was a breeze. Our guests have not stopped raving about how much fun they had, or how sore they are from dancing all night. He quite literally had everyone on the dance floor. Jason sent us a convenient Google doc to help us organize our song choices, which made it easy for us to update our ideas in real time. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing includes 2 top of the line EV monitors, one 18” subwoofer for larger rooms, either a black facade or white cloth facade that is back-lit, 2 wireless microphones, travel time, setup, breakdown and above all experience!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we discuss what type of event and the age group of the guests that will be there. Then I learn what type of music the client specifically likes to better suit their needs. Finally we decide on what type of lighting and effects will be desired in order to set the mood of the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Being a musician helped me learn the art form of DJn and after going to audio school in 1999 I was able to work in recording studios which in turn led me to becoming a music producer.
