Introduction: I have been training dogs since 2002. I am a certified Animal Control Officer and Animal Cruelty Investigator. I am also a member of the Middlesex County Companion Animal Recovery (CART) Team. I have trained and competed in obedience and agility with several dogs. My Border Collie Nell has competed at Westminster twice in agility. My training practice is focused on two disciplines, puppy training and agility.
My focus on puppy training is to help you set up your home so that you have a puppy safe environment, I will help you to integrate your new family member into your home, work with you to potty train, teach basic commands (sit, down, stay, come, their name) and then help you to forge a bond with your pup through training that will last a lifetime. My goal is to help you train them correctly in the first weeks and months so we can avoid behavioral issues in the future. I also offer pet sitting on a very limited basis and most often for training clients only for now.
If you are looking to do more with your canine companion I offer dog agility lessons in Leonardo and can teach you and your partner all levels of agility...for fun, foundation, and novice through masters.
My philosophy is to use positive reinforcement to shape the desired behaviors whether for puppy training or agility.
