Engaged Kev to photographic an original painting which was being published in the artist's latest book - and I'm sure glad I did. In the actual photo shoot, it was very clear Kevin knows his stuff. The artist had very specific specifications for the images, and Kevin knew exactly how to achieve those. And there was a big time crunch. Kevin supplied the finished image files within 24 hours, and the artist and his publisher were thrilled with the final product. Also great and easy communication, on time - and a really nice guy. Via Thumbtack we checked out several services. Mr. Hickey, being local, qualified, and well priced was elected to do the work. The shoot and the post shot work so far seems good. We would consider 1st Class Photography, Inc. for future work.Jun 18, 2014Verified
If you need professional photos done and don't have a lot of time to waste...this is where you need to go!!! From start to finish, Kevin made the entire process as smooth as possible. He was extremely responsive and helpful in explaining the basics of the shoot and how payment would be handled. He immediately sent over a mock photo and invoice to mimic the final product. On the day of the shoot he was punctual, efficient and super patient! Another nice thing about him was you could genuinely see that he cared about how you came across in your photos. He wasn't just here to tell you to sit down, snap the picture and get paid. I had my finished product within 24 hours. Overall, it was a great experience and I will ABSOLUTELY be calling him again in the future.May 17, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? It's never complicated. There's a session fee, and a cost for what my client wants. The session fee ranges from $95 to $400. Again, always depends on the client's needs.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I am a portrait photographer. I specialize in preschool, elementary school, college sorority and fraternity portraits and groups. My most common request these days is for headshots, which I do ON-LOCATION with either GREEN-SCREEN or Traditional Backgrounds.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Photographers aren't like gasoline. Don't look for the lowest price. Find a fair price, and make sure they have enough experience to photograph YOUR assignment! Craigslist photographers may not be around tomorrow to deliver your important images!
