Introduction: When a customer decides to use our services, we encourage them to come to our place and see our set up and how the dogs behave in our care. We think that all trainers should demonstrate their results for potential customers to assure them that they are able to train their dog as well. If you come to us with a barking dog, no one will bark back because we have shown them that they can relax because we are in charge and we can show you the same for your dog. Training is about having the proper body language. Imagine how you would communicate with humans if you didn't have language. We started out doing this by training our dogs as mobility assistance. We would watch the body language of our own dogs day in and day out and we learned so much from it. Now we get to watch it every day with countless different dogs and the body language is always consistent. Come meet with us for a free consultation and we can show you the steps to being your dogs best friend and his/her guiding light. I love making dogs into the best dog that they can be for their family. It is very rewarding to make people and dogs happy because of everything that the dog accomplished with us. Showing peiple how we handle dogs often helps people to learn to relax and slow down in their own lives. Our desire is to make people happier and calmer by showing them how to make their dogs happier and calmer.

I found mindofdog online after looking for a trainer for my 8 month old lab and 5 year old beagle that recently started fighting. I read the reviews and they all seemed to be great, but after my dogs stayed there for 2 weeks and paying over $3000 I am not at all convinced that it was worth the time or money. I was told that my dogs were getting along fine and could be put in the same cage if i wanted them to (not that i did) and I wouldn't have to worry about them fighting anymore. .. the day after I brought them home they fought over food which I told them was an issue along with toys and bones. I called them immediately and after making it seem like it was my fault...even though I followed everything they told me, they said to bring them back and they would work with food more ( they said the change of food could have triggered it). My beagle is less temperamental, which is great. The lab they said needs to be neutered which is what could be causing him to misbehave (he is going Tuesday). Basically what I learned for that money is how to "side your dog" when they are not listening, how to correct them when they are doing bad, which I do...it is effective for the beagle, not the lab. They sent me videos to show me what to do or what they were doing. A few things i was concerned about was that my beagle lost 7 lbs while there ,he had a vet appointment immediately after training and also bit the vets finger while looking at his teeth which I was shocked about since he just came from 2 weeks of training for behavior! I noticed the weight loss right away, but maybe he was depressed not being home and wasn't eating,my lab came home with about 6 hot spots from gnawing on his paws that they didn't notice until they bathed him the day I brought them home. They seem very knowledgeable about dogs, but I am not convinced that sending your dogs away to someone else's home to correct behaviour that they won't show you outside of their own home will help. I think training in your own home with someone you can work with is better so that those particular behaviors can be addressed. They did respond to my review on yelp with lies and inaccurate information, you can see my replies there as well.

David, Kyle, and Danielle at Mind of Dog truly are miracle workers. We recently adopted a dog who had severe trust issues, and did not particularly care for people petting her. She will violently attack her tail if she becomes too anxious. Peekaboo was in foster care for over a year, and the fosters warned us that we may be bit if we touched her. Mind of Dog took a scared little pup who had the potential to become violent, and had her on her side and receiving pets within hours of meeting her, without a single outburst. After only two weeks with Mind of Dog, our new addition now seeks out snuggle time, and not once has she acted in an aggressive manner toward us since she's been working with Mind of Dog. Kyle, Danielle, and David are amazing individuals, and would HIGHLY recommend them for caring for your fur babies. We are truly grateful to have them in our lives.

Danielle was available for a last minute booking and has since taken over as my preferred sitter when I'm away. I not only returned to a cleaner house than I've ever had, but I also returned to two happy boys. Danielle is an incredible trainer, caretaker, and a sweet person. Definitely a top pick for any situation and not just rambunctious pit mixes like mine.
