- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
my prices are as follows: $35.00 per hour onsite minimum 1 hour there is a standard travel charge of 20.00 if you are more than 15 miles away i offer special discounts to customers when they refer me to others and get hired by those same people software services like re-installing windows and software is 50.00 for the first hour and 25.00 thereafter. i dont give discounts or negotiate price if your system is more than 2 years old and you are looking to install a version of windows that was not meant for your system. Data recovery service pricing varies depending on the issue. ALL data recovery is NOT guaranteed and requires me to remove the device and take back to my shop. Data recovery can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. if i am able to recover your data then i just charge a bench charge of 25.00 plus a fee depending on how long it takes to retrieve your data. I am not responsible for providing the new device to move the retrievable data to. if your device is visibly broken or the hard drive is making noise like a clicking sound then i cannot help you. Due to the complexity and liability, i DO NOT offer the following services: screen replacement Phone repair charging port repair on a motherboard motherboard replacement in a laptop or notebook I also reserve the right to refuse service of any device that i am not comfortable working on. I specialize in computer hardware and design of new systems and upgrade of current systems. I DO NOT offer virus removal services due to the fact that this NEVER works. the RIGHT way to get rid of a virus is to wipe the hard drive and install a fresh copy of windows because a virus (even a small one) will weasel its way into your data and infect everything even if you try to remove it, there is no proof that you get it all.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Id like the customer to provide as much info as possible. its ok if they are not savy cause that is what google is for.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i have 12 years of extensive experience and worked as a warranty tech for dell hp and the like. i have also worked on team projects for large companies installing and setting up equipment.
