My daughter has been taking lessons with Ms. Mariah for 9 months and she’s still excited to go each week. Ms. Mariah keeps the lessons fun while teaching her the proper piano techniques. She has a very sweet demeanor which my daughter reacts very well to. I highly recommend lessons with Ms. Mariah!

We are so thankful we found Mariah! We live in a small town with no options for voice lessons. My daughter loves to sing, and I wanted to support her passion. I started an online search, and I found Mariah on Thumbtack. My daughter meets with Mariah through FaceTime once a week for 30 minutes. She has already learned so much, and her singing has improved significantly with only a handful of lessons. I can't wait to continue to watch her grow and pursue her love of singing with the help and guidance of Mariah!

My name is Molly and I am in 9th grade. I have been working with Mariah for about 6 months. When I came to her, I had been through 2 other voice teachers in a fairly short period of time. I was prepared to think Mariah was just going to be another name on the list, but she certainly wasn’t! She welcomed me with open arms the very first day. I have always had issues with jaw tension, and it was practically gone within the first few weeks of lessons. Now, I can’t even recreate what I was doing with my jaw! She has been the driving force of me improving my breath support and tone beyond measure. Since I have had Mariah, I have gotten into every vocal-based activity I have auditioned for. If that doesn’t say it all, I don’t know what will! I haven’t even mentioned her personality. Mariah is beyong warm and kindhearted. She and I could talk forever and not notice that a second went by. I can’t say how often I come into my lesson with some crazy audition music or request. No matter what, we work on what I want to and make it tons better every time! I would definitely recommend Mariah as a voice teacher!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are: $30 per half hour lesson $45 per 45 minute lesson $60 per hour lesson I do charge for no show situations. If you will be absent, please let me know no less than 2 hours beforehand. If you cancel last minute or do not show, then a make up lesson will be requested.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to spend our first lesson getting to know each other and the background of my student's musical interests. We learn the basics of music and do warm ups. I test my student's level and assign them pieces that I believe fit their styles and abilities.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelors in voice and psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington. I have taken lessons in piano, voice, and violin and have learned extensively through my teachers. I have taken courses in vocal pedagogy and have been a voice and piano instructor for 2 1/2 years.
