I'm sure officiating at a large, elaborate, or formal wedding has plenty of challenges. But it also can't be easy walking into the last-minute, tiny, extremely informal wedding of a couple who've been living together for a dozen years and still be appropriate on every level. The fact that Anthony was able to do this, without ever having met us previously, and could add such a nice note to our small ragtag ceremony, speaks volumes about his people skills and experience. He showed up at Central Park on time, slightly better-dressed than any of us, and was cheerful and unfazed by any small glitches—late guest, forgotten license. In addition to the vows we had written he said a few simple words of his own, helping to make the brief ceremony genuinely moving and joyful. Anthony managed to be a really pleasant part of our day without being a big presence—which I think is no easy trick when you're one-seventh of the wedding party. And he was a great sport about meeting up the next day so I could hand over the missing license. I wholeheartedly recommend Anthony's services for any wedding ceremony of any kind. We were 100% delighted with our wedding, and he was an import part of that.
Reverend Brad made our wedding day oh-so-very special. He was great about communicating with us before the event to make sure we were ready for our special day! He is an inter-faith minister, so he tailors each wedding ceremony to fit the beliefs of each couple. He read a beautiful Buddhist poem for us and his choice of group vows (for me and my wife) were perfect. We highly recommend Rev. Brad to anyone seeking out an easy-going, amiable ceremony officiant! Our friends were very happy with him, too! Thanks a lot, Brad.
I was asked by a bride and groom to aid them in their search for a minister. I started with a Google search and was eventually directed to Thumbtack. I had never heard of it but I thought the concept was novel and unique, so I posted an ad for an reliable and affordable minister. The first offer I received was from Reverend Raymond Williams. I called him immediately and we had a lovely conversation. I felt at ease with him instantly and knew that he was the top choice for the couple. I passed along his information and the couple met with him and felt the same way I did. They hired him for their wedding which was held on July 24,2015. He arrived in a timely fashion and was able to keep the crowd calm as we awaited some unexpected delays in starting the wedding. Once the ceremony started, he was witty, forthright, and thoughtful with his words. Even with a minor flub of the groom's name on his part, he still managed to keep the ceremony running smoothly and seamlessly. The couple was more than happy with him and are grateful that he was the one that presided over their ceremony. On behalf of the couple, I would like to thank you for the wonderful job that you did and I wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors. If you are looking for a minister who will make your wedding feel special and has a calming energy around him, then Reverend Raymond Williams is the man for the job.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Mary on my vows for my wedding. She was an absolute professional and was very flexible and accommodating to make my wedding vows absolutely special. Being a minister, she is also great at calming stressed out brides, so that the bride remembers to enjoy the celebration that is the ceremony. Highly recommend.
Let me tell you about Ross Decker. He is a professional marriage officiant and he felt like one of my closest friend's. We spoke by phone and by text since I work crazy hour's. But I kept him in the loop and even send him a link on how I would like my wedding. Since my bride to be kept changing her mind or keep adding additional items to the list on how to do a philippine wedding. He has done his research and we agreed on the right solution. Everything went according to plan even though I slowly turning into a nervous wreck. The wedding was a complete success. We were slightly off schedule but it work out fine. I am telling you, you won't be disappointed using his service for your wedding. Don't look at him as a Father, minister, pastor or a priest but as a friend!
Rev. Lou made our wedding a wonderful and spiritual event for which we are eternally grateful. We live in Texas and were working to plan a destination wedding in New York. After reviewing several web sites for a minister we settled in on Lou as his style and nature seemed to fit well with our lives and relationship. Since we were planning everything remotely, he went above and beyond to help us find a beautiful church venue that was the perfect setting for our wedding before God and our friends. Lou also exceeded our expectations on getting to know us personally leading up to the ceremony. He planned several conference calls whereby we could discuss our life experiences and expectations for the wedding ceremony. These calls allowed for us to have a personal connection with Lou and made for a ceremony that was both meaningful and personal. When we arrived in New York, our wedding planner had an emergency and Lou stepped in to help us with the last minute details of obtaining the marriage license. This was much appreciated not only by us but our wedding planner as well. Lastly, at the ceremony itself, because we had developed a personal friendship with Lou, he was able to keep us calm and knew when to pause to allow us to keep our composure during what was a very emotional and meaningful ceremony for us both. Therefore, we are happy to provide a hearty recommendation for Rev. Lou Olivieri. Trent and Bill Houston, Texas December 2013
Juan was such a great minister for our wedding. There were some last minute changes that were out of my control, but he worked with us and the ceremony was just beautiful. Thank you again, Juan! God bless!
Mr. Fenton was extremely professional he did a wonderful job to make our day special he wrote our vows for the service and they were absolutely beautiful I recommend him as an ordained minister very highly thank you for making our day so special
He is one in a million. He waited for us until we came back from taking pictures to get the marriage certificate. He is full of wisdom and very flexible. I couldn't have asked God for a better minister.
Minister Val was absolutely fantastic for my daughter's wedding. Linette and Val performed a beautiful ceremony, catered to the needs of both the bride and groom in a bilingual service that was extremely eloquent
Aida......Thank you! thank you! thank you! Words can not describe the amazing job you did! Thank you so much again!
Kevin was our wedding officiant.. He's a nice minister who really listens to your needs. He creates a beautiful non-denominational ceremony and also other types. He reaches out quickly for any problems at all and is very prompt. We give him 5 stars and recommend him as your officiant!
Rev. Adelaida was AMAZING! She performed the ceremony for us at this beautiful restaurant in Brooklyn. She was very communicative and prompt in her responses. She quickly made us feel like friends and was more than happy to discuss every tiny detail of the ceremony to ensure that it was exactly what we wanted. Without any doubt or hesitation, we then booked Adelaida for our October 14th ceremony. Patrycja & Ertan
My husband and I had the most wonderful experience having Mr. Kevin Cook as our wedding officiant. With only 5 weeks to plan a Valentine's Day wedding, I used Thumbtack to find an officiant who would be available on short notice, as well as on such a special holiday. Mr. Cook was the perfect match for a wedding focused on our Christian faith. He is an absolute pro when it comes to wedding ceremonies, as he provided us with all the information necessary to customize a ceremony that was a tailored match to us as a couple. The entire process was much easier than either of us had anticipated. Our wedding was in reliable hands. Kevin gave a genuine and sincere feeling to the ceremony, yet with the ideal touch of joyful lightheartedness. We have received many compliments from our wedding guests on how much they adored our minister! I am so pleased to look back on my wedding day that was so peaceful and enjoyable, with much thanks to Kevin Cook. He truly cares about those whose weddings he takes part in, and no doubt we will be sending him Christmas cards for all the years to come!
On February 13, 2010 I married a wonderful man who completes me. Rev. Beverly gave such a heartfelt, inspiring, and absolutely perfect ceremony. She involved all of our guests and really made them feel like a part of our special day. The eloquent words she used to describe our relationship and what being married was all about resonate with me to this very day. I HIGHLY recommend the Beacon of Light Ministry for your special day.
I was a witness at a wedding and Rev. Louis was amazing! He had me crying tears of joy. What an inspirational minister. Simply the best!
Minister Dawn was such a pleasure to speak with and collaborate together with - It felt as though I've known her far longer than this event together. Such an absolute delight! I would recommend her over and over to anyone seeking these services!
Reverend Joe was really great! During our initial meeting, he listened to our needs and was very easy to work with. The day of our wedding Reverend Joe was punctual, professional, and delivered a wonderful ceremony. It was short and sweet, exactly what we wanted for our special day. We received many compliments from guests about how beautiful and meaningful our ceremony was. Thank you Reverend Joe!!
Rev. Williams was not only helpful but very professional. He made the experience absolutely wonderful. He met us in time square and also helped me navigate the subways of NYC. Over all he is a man of integrity and overall awesome!!!
Rev. Francesca Fortunato officiated our (my husband and my) wedding on 28 May 2006. We were friends through an unrelated (musical) scene and knew her to be a warm, kind person, and having a friend marry us seemed to be a great idea. After we met formally to interview and plan, and exchanged thoughts and drafts of our ceremony and vows, we knew we had made the right choice. We combined traditions from Judaism (my husband) and Japanese/Shinto (mine), and while Rev. Francesca later admitted it was the longest and most complicated ceremony she had officiated, she helped make it all happen with her thoughtfulness, knowledge and expertise. Thanks to how the three of us were able to work together smoothly, we were able to have a wedding ceremony which was meaningful to both families.
