Q. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A. My first session with you is 90 minutes which allows me to hear your story and concerns and also have time for your first healing session or meditation training. The follow up session is usually 60 minutes unless you want a 90 minute session.
Q. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A. My educational and professional development is diverse.In 1978 I received my bachelors degree in Social Work. Then went on to study massage therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, mindfulness meditation, Nondual Kabbalistic Healing, energy healing, aromatherapy, Empowerment Life Coaching, and is a Certified Reiki Master Teacher.
Cindy completed professional training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in 1993 under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, Director of the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. She continues to study under mindfulness based meditation teachers and has an ongoing meditation and yoga practice.
A 2005 graduate of A Society of Souls, the 4 year professional training program of Nondual Kabbalistic Healing she continues her study with supervision groups to deepen her understanding of this work.
Drawing from her extensive training she creates an individualized session for you or you may choose to select a particular service. This reconnection of mind, body and soul is the essence of healing. It is a process that reaches deeply into your being.
Q. How did you get started doing this type of work?
A. It is my soul's journey to work with people to live from their authentic selves.This I knew from a very young age so I obtained a social work degree and from there studied alternative healing modalities.
Q. What types of customers have you worked with?
A. People come looking for a deeper connection with themselves. Some want to learn mindfulness meditation or Reiki. Some are experiencing chronic pain, anxiety or relationship challenges and would like some guidance and healing.
Q. Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A. Teaching MBSR in a corporate setting. This was inspiring work in a place that benefits a great deal from mindfulness.
Q. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
A. Give them a call and get a sense whether you have a connection with them. Also look at their professional training and years of experience.
Q. What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
A. Healing takes place in partnership. Each person needs to be willing to do the work.
