I took piano lessons studying with John Carlo for the past 4 months, and he is an excellent teacher. He is an excellent musician on multiple instruments, and he knows how to convey musical ideas. I recommend taking lessons with John Carlo for anyone really wanting to learn how to play piano or any other instrument he teaches because he knows how to teach musicianship, a quality hard to come by.

John is a great teacher. I've been studying saxophone with him and he's able to tailor his lessons to my needs and my experience. He's also been extremely helpful in recommending technique and equipment changes which have improved my playing. He's responsive to email so that if I'm stuck or have question I don't have to wait until my lesson. Highly recommended.

Jean Carlo teaches my 16 year old son both piano and saxophone on a weekly basis. As a parent, i find jean carlo courteous, always on time, informative about my sons progress and goals for my son. My son finds jean Carlo to be very engaging, talented, and a great teacher. My son came to Jean Carlo with 5 years of lessons under his belt and was nervous starting with a new teacher. But, Jean Carlo has been encouraging and challenging and is helping him progress steadily towards his goals. He goes above and beyond in having new material ready for him to work on and really getting into the heart of the music. It has been a very positive experience for us both and I would highly recommend Jean Carlo as a teacher.

John is an extremely solid teacher who can identify what drives each student and help them to apply it to learning the instrument. Makes you feel comfortable from the start and teaches from experience. Excellent saxophone player as well. I highly recommend John to anyone who is serious about learning to play an instrument, or further develop their abilities.
