Thanks Sheyla I look forward to helping you make your dreams come true! You are fantastic!
I used "NJ SOUND" to record my EP. It was an awesome experience. The owner John, makes you feel right at home and part of the family and the engineer Andrew is amazing. Andrew is a very skilled engineer, he gives great feedback and help you try to make your recording sound the best it can. I will definitely be back soon for my next project!!Mar 6, 2016Verified
John and his team (I worked directly with him and his very talented intern Chris) are just terrific. They really care about the music you record and create a friendly and accompanying atmosphere. If you want a studio at a good price with people who will work to make your song sound the best it can then definitely check out NJ sound.Oct 22, 2015Verified

Thanks Christian it was a great session! Hope to see you again with more songs!
Went to NJ Sound to record 3 original songs for piano and voice. John Cannon was very enthusiastic and friendly and went out of his way to accommodate me. For example, he rented a professional keyboard with weighted keys for me to use during the session. The session was very affordable and the studio was very easy to get to from NYC via public transportation. It's a very neat studio and has so much great gear. Really hope more people can get in there to record!Oct 26, 2015Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We don't have complicated pricing. We are artists and musicians who know how important it is to get your talent archived in a format that will stand the test of time and we offer straight forward pricing that meets most of our clients' budgets.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Tapping into their passion and helping make it a reality. Meeting with them for an hour or so listening to their demos and chatting. It is really important that we are on the same page and John takes time to get to know each and every artist that records at his studio personally. There are some that prefer a less involved approach and who use their own producers, we know when to be quiet and let others take control of a session. We are extremely flexible not only in the media we create but also the genres we work with. John has relationships dating back to the 1980s that are still vibrant and alive. He is not a flash in the pan sort of person and likes to create a win-win long term relationship with everyone he meets. The basic items musicians should tend to are get a new pair of strings stretch them for a week or so. Drummers should get new drum heads if possible. Rehearse your music before preferably to a click track. Be on time or a little early and warm up with your repertoire for the first portion of your session. Have a clear goal what you want to accomplish and communicate openly during the session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We constantly stay current with all the technologies and skills relating to audio and video work. We have state of the art equipment and know how to make the most for our clients. Our freelance professionals have decades of training and experience. John Cannon the founder has been recording and creating music since the mid 1980s and has hundreds of tracks to his credit.
