I have known Megan for 10 years, worked with her my self, both on chamber music and as a member of a chorus she lead, and I've watched her work with my kids. She is an excellent teacher; insightful, patient, pedagogical, polemical, super knowledgeable on the great classical composers and very musical. I am happy to recommend her as a teacher!Jul 22, 2018
Ms. Beets is an extremely insightful musician and teacher with knowledge in many different areas, which makes for a fruitful strategy to conquer challenges. What I appreciate most is her conceptual, rather mechanical, approach. I would highly recommend her and plan on working with her more in the future!Jul 12, 2018

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My lesson rate is $60/hr, $30/half hour. I offer a 10% discount on packages (either 4- or 8-lessons). I also offer a free trial lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? At the first lesson, I want to get to know your goals, get a sense of your current level of capability and history of study, if relevant, and find out what you're interested in working on. This way we can make the best plan for your lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've been playing the flute for 25 years, and have played in orchestras and small ensembles from Boston to New York to the Washington, D.C. area. I also have 15 years teaching experience of both flute and choral singing, and currently conduct a community chorus in Leesburg, VA. I have studied flute at Indiana University with students of Dr. Thomas Robertello, and singing under Maestros Jose Briano and John Sigerson.
