When I think about why Phil is successful with his clients and his client find success with him it's because he is INVESTED. Phil is invested in his clients - understanding their needs, from the ones just starting off and the ones who are athletes and need to be pushed. He is invested in his craft - keeping up with the new techniques, exercises thus giving him the ability to tailor his sessions to his clients. Invested in nutrition - vast understanding on what will fuel your body and shares this with his clients. I have been an athlete my entire life, sometimes in better shape then others - the single thing that made the difference in my success with my coaches/trainers is their ability to connect and invest in me. When you have someone that believes in you it gives you the motivation to invest in yourself. I highly recommend Phil as a personal trainer or taking part in one of his boot camps. It's a fun, motivating, non-intimidating environment where you can take yourself to the next level!

I am in my mid 40's, in good health and ex runner which included marathons. I stopped running about 8 years ago and quickly gained 30 pounds. In January 2013 I went to Medi Weight Loss Clinic and in 6 months was back to my running weight of 175 pounds. I stayed there for over a year but felt like a needed to supplement my eating change and decided in the summer of 2014 to get back in the gym and work with weights again to try to retain some of the muscle I have as well as build total body lean muscle. I have some physical injuries from years of sports that limit my range of motion and in the past I was unsuccessful working out on my own and always ended up injuring myself worse. I also travel quite a bit for work so maximizing my time in the gym is paramount for me. I thought the best way for me to accomplish my goals and prevent further injury was to work with a professional trainer. I have been working with Doug for 5 months now. I am very pleased with the results. Aside from the quantitative body fat % drop and looking and feeling better, I have prevented injuring myself. I am the same weight but my body fat % has dropped 6 points and been replaced by lean muscle. I also follow a healthy diet that is low carb but have found a good balance to leverage the gym effort. Doug is adept at recognizing your weaknesses and incorporates specific routines to strengthen all the smaller muscles around your joints that supports and enables improvement for all the mainstream exercises. I now workout at least 5 days a week and continue to get stronger. I look forward to benchmarking my progress at 1 year. Do yourself a favor, invest in yourself by hiring Doug. You wont regret it.
I have a couple of degrees and a decent job, but I didn’t feel like I was having the success in my career that I thought I should. I felt like I kept doing things that got in the way of doing better. I am a fairly stubborn person, so of course I thought I could solve my problems myself. The problem with that thinking is that unless you understand why you are having issues, you will continue to keep going down the same road. I had heard about life coaches and thought I would give it a try. The first couple of coaches I tried weren’t a good fit for me. I didn’t really feel comfortable working with them because they didn’t actually get to know me to understand what was going on with me. Then I met Dancer for Life. I knew right away I had met the right coach! She had a way of making me feel comfortable and helped me begin to recognize some of issues I was facing. I am a little defensive at times (well, maybe a lot defensive), but Beth was able to talk with me in a way that I could be really honest with her and myself. That was a very important beginning! From there we worked together to develop a plan that would help me with my problems in my career. I think the collaborative approach was the key, because if she had given me a “one-size-fits-all” plan, it wouldn’t have worked for me. I came to grips with the fact that I was really bad with procrastination. I also had difficulty taking constructive criticism, which was incredibly important to resolve if I was ever going to advance in my career. There were some setbacks here and there, but Beth worked with me through it all and equipped me with the tools and skills to get back on track and make big improvements in my life. Today, I am in a much better spot and am having great success in my career. I’ve even gotten two promotions! More importantly, the skills that Beth helped me developed have even assisted me in other areas of my life. I strongly recommend Josh as a personal trainer if you are looking to push yourself to the limit. He is a well rounded fitness coach with knowledge about diet and exercise. He's flexible and models workouts specifically for me and my needs. I appreciate how he teaches me along the way about why we do certain things, so I leave not with just the workout results but with a better understanding about how it's helping me. Not to mention he's just a super cool dude!
What did I like? Are you kidding? What didn't I like. Here's Old School - I have to go to the gym for the equipment. I have to go online or to weight watchers, or god knows where for nutrition. Do I count calories? carbs? points? what do I do? I have to find friends and family for the support. Or I keep my plans to myself making it very easy to fail. Today - I go to Coach Sy/Stella Fitness and I get the whole package. Coach Sy and I worked together for a year straight. I needed a complete overhaul. My mind, body and spirit had suffered tremendously due to life happenings and I made a mess of myself. Sy had his work cut out for him. My results were fantastic. Yes, I did the work myself, I get that. But I am telling you, they would not be what they were without him. If I had to pick one thing to put a big star by, it would be his knowledge. We still work together in different capacities and I still check in with him on my nutrition and fitness plans and he always responds timely and with great knowledge. To this day I still get so impressed with the knowledge he has! It's endless! My goal for 2018 is to ask him a question and stump him. The gyms are out. Sorry to say, but fitness and nutrition has become more intimate and personal and 'family oriented' - fitness is about the whole person and that mindset is FINALLY starting to become mainstream. Stella Fitness gets that and is going to take the Lehigh Valley by storm, you watch.

Calum is an awesome trainer. He is one of the only trainers I actually trust and feel confident working with---he has a strong background in strength training and programming, but is also constantly doing research and experimenting with programming to bring his clients' training to the next level. Not only is he extremely competent, but he is also a pleasure to work with-- he provides a solid balance of pushing you to work harder to reach the next goal or the next seemingly impossible weight or rep and also being an extremely nice guy who is easy to be around. He's a good fit for any athlete of any ability. He is the only trainer my mom, who is older and has a lot of mobility and health issues, will work with because he truly listens and responds to the client at hand and meets their needs. His programming has pushed her, and me, to our strongest. He is one of the rare trainers that puts his client's goals and accomplishments above his own ego. I can't recommend him enough for anyone looking for a either a personal or group trainer. He can make a work out out of literally any equipment so there are never any excuses!
We have trained with Richard for over 4 years now. We must say that Richard is the only reason we are staying in shape! He has kept us motivated throughout all this time by providing a wide variety of exercises in different formats so we are never bored. Richard is very knowledgeable about tailoring a workout to particular health conditions or physical limitations. Finally, he has a very positive and reassuring demeanor and he makes every workout fun, even for the lazies like us. He is the best trainer you can possibly find!
