Introduction: Hello! I am a music teacher with ten years experience teaching private voice and piano lessons. Since 2011, I have maintained a full studio at both Cornerstone Music Studios in Millstone, NJ and The Chapin School, Princeton. I also sing professionally and direct the children's choir at Trinity Church, Princeton and direct the lower school operetta at Princeton Day School. I am now opening up my home studio in the Foxmoor community in Robbinsville, NJ to private students! Lessons are available on a weekly basis on Wednesday afternoons, from the hours of 3:00-5:00 pm. Piano students have the option of in-person or virtual lessons; voice lessons are available virtually only. Earlier appointments during the weekdays may be available if needed. I believe that music lessons should be fun and enjoy making a personal connection with my students while maintaining a high level of education based in theory and technique. Examples of personal and past students' performances are available upon request. I look forward to hearing from you!

My daughter has been a student of Annie's for 5 years. She takes both Voice and Piano lessons. Annie has a very approachable style, and is very accommodating to whatever genre of music my daughter wants to learn. She has worked with my daughter on Musical Theater pieces, Pop, Classical and Jazz. I have seen much growth in my daughter's technically and performance ability through the years. Annie is a great choice for her knowledge, personality and ability to adjust to her student's needs and interests. Highly recommend!

My daughter has been a voice student with Annie for 3 years. I have nothing but good things to say about Annie and our experience with her. Since my daughter started voice I have seen growth and more maturity in her voice and a more confident performer. She rarely misses a lessons and is flexible with rescheduling. She is very engaged with her students and caring, always spends time to talk to the kids at the first few minutes of a lesson. I would highly recommend Annie to teach your child.

Annie has been a wonderfully professional and personable instructor to my son from when he started playing at the age of five years old. Annie is easy to work with, accommodating and will always give your child positive reinforcement while providing corrections and intuitive ways to encourage further development and growth. Her bubbly personality compiled with her vast musical education and professional background will make a nice fit with any and every musical student regardless of level.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Lessons are $35/half hour, $52/45 minutes, and $70/hour.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I typically teach an evaluation lesson first to get a sense of the student's range, style, and musical ability. After vocalizing, I work with the student to pick music that will be both musically fulfilling to the student and technically appropriate to build skills. Piano lessons generally begin with an evaluation of the student's musical reading ability. I assign music that is on par with both the student's musical goals and technical skills. Piano lessons focus on music theory and technique, which is then translated to performance pieces as the student progresses.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold the degrees of Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance from Westminster Choir College and Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Western Connecticut State University.
