I had procrastinated for a while about taking dance classes and even choosing an instructor. I cannot recommend Dariusz highly enough. His approach to teaching is holistic and as a result I am feeling more aware and relaxing more in life outside of class. Dariusz is very patient and tailored the lessons well and creating a positive learning environment. The results are acknowledged and whatever I struggle to learn Dariusz finds a way to make it accessible and so before you realise it you have had a breakthrough and progress is happening more easily. He takes the lessons and your learning seriously but always makes it fun and enjoyable. Many thanks Dariusz.
Arati is an incredible salsa instructor! Having taken a few group dance classes here and there, I finally decided to find a private instructor, and am so lucky I found Arati! She is very knowledgeable and pays attention to every single one of your steps to instruct you on flow and form. She's also very patient and can tell you exactly what you are doing wrong so you can fix it quickly. I don't think my experience so far would have been as good if I didn't have Arati as an instructor!!
The people from Dacing Designer have been extremely professional. The have been very responsive and always willing to adjust to my busy schedule. The amount of progress that I have achieved in just three classes is amazing which speaks to their teaching techniques and work quality.
Irina is an amazing instructor who was able to work well with a group! She was very communicative and flexible in our planning stages and brought lots of fun to our salsa class. I would absolutely recommend Irina (MAP 2 Rhythm) for your dance instruction needs. I know I will be reaching out to Irina in the future!
I have had a wonderful experience in the past five months dancing under her guidance. What I value most about Jes is her unyielding patience and open reception to those who are new to WCS or dancing in general. From her classes I have gained the confidence to go out social dancing, and now enjoy going to atleast one social dance scene a week. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering dance, make the plunge to attend her dance classes.
Both as a team and individually, Shimkiri and Werner really inspire me to become a better dancer, and I highly recommend their services for anyone looking to grow as a dancer or to start dancing! I began taking private Latin dance lessons with Shimkiri about two years ago. I was so impressed by her passion for dancing and her enthusiasm in sharing her talent with her students! She has a great way of staying patient as I learn new steps while still pushing and challenging me enough so that I would improve as a dancer. Later on as we began training for a competition and a showcase, her husband Werner began coaching me, too. Like Shimkiri, he was so eager to share his passion with me, and his instructions were so clear even with the more difficult steps. They are a wonderful couple, and I really encourage anyone looking for dance lessons to see that for themselves!
Paulina is an extremely well rounded dancer. She can slow down her body to near impossible speeds and quickly transition into fast paced explosive hip hop combos. She has an adept eye for control and textures in dance which is key to make any dance stand out. She is super friendly and intuitive to quickly assess your needs and problems. Although she is an advanced dancer, she still has a perfect sense of fundamentals which is ideal for a dancer who didn't properly learn their rudiments. Her personal training background allows her to not only to teach dance appropriately, but also helps in letting you know what muscle groups are needed for certain dances. All in all I would recommend Paulina to ANYONE ranging from a beginner to an expert to just someone who wants to learn a certain dance. I've learned more from her in one class that I've learned in a whole week of group dance classes. If you want to start or further your dance skills, Paulina is the one for you!
I have been studying privately and taking group classes with Uros for about a year. Having extensive training in non-ballroom dance prior to meeting him, I wanted to learn correct technique as well as being challenged at my own level in the styles that I preferred, rather than having to follow the teacher's or studio's syllabus (which you often find in larger "name" studios). Uros recognized this immediately and I could tell he had trained/competed/performed at the international level rather than just as "social" ballroom dancer. He is always on time and never cancels a lesson. His professionalism is only part of what makes him unique. His sense of humor, his patience when I get something wrong ten times, and understanding when things come up that inhibit my concentration or need to cancel. Uros truly cares about each of his students, whether it be someone who dances for fun, or someone who wants to go further. I have also seen him coaching wedding couples. This he truly excels at. He takes people who have barely danced before and choreographs a piece that truly highlights them; you can tell they actually begin to enjoy and relax into performing the routine under his non-threatening guidance. If you are looking for an excellent, highly trained, personable, and unassuming teacher for ballroom styles of dance, I would highly recommend Uros. I have taken Latin Ballroom classes with Ernesto, and he is an excellent teacher, able to clearly explain leader and follower skills, and the proper physical technique for executing the most complicated moves (whether in social or competitive styles of dance). He is always calm and fun in his explanations. As a dance artist, he is a thrill to watch, whether in Modern dance pieces, or Ballroom Latin showpieces, with a strong emotional expression of the music and choreography, and a deep connection to his partners that is mesmerizing.
I love the social atmosphere that exists at the studio. Everyone is very nice and pleasing to be around. That goes a long way when joining something new. I love their new fitness classes, especially Yoga on Saturday mornings. Great way to start the weekend!
Keomi Tarver leads with her heart and her mind. Her savy business sense and boundless creativity make it a joy and honor to be a part of her team
Kelsey Rogers is not only a fun instructor who kicks your bootie, she takes time to ensure that you are using proper technique so you don't get injured. I would take any class from her and I especially loved her Zumba. She rocks my world!
Maybe if you weren't such a jerk and asked, you would've known that she had cancer that quickly ate away at her. She's passed long now, so guess you won't have to worry. That guy Tony was her husband and he did dance for you information. You should really ask questions and get you facts in check before coming to insult us in a website. You weren't satisfied? You should've left. Its been two years now, have some respect. Stick to your own lane.
I have been training with J9 since November 2015-- and her class is one of the highlights of my week. She has an in-depth technical, somatic, and virtuosic knowledge of Hip-Hop that allows her to relay information and the breakdowns of movement in an incredible way. I appreciate that every class we drill grooves and exercises that help the students gradually become more proficient and unafraid of doing dances that might seem daunting. She teaches at an Adv-Beg./Slow-Inter. level, and challenges the students with choreography that forces them to push themselves physically and intellectually. At the same time, J9 reinforces the need to relax and trust their movements. She always makes sure to end the class in a freestyle, makes students aware that at the core of it all Hip-Hop is a free styling call and response social dance. That it was created to be a conversation not done in front of the mirror-- but in the club, the party, the park, and anywhere people gather and chill. I just wish I could take more of her classes!!!!
