I could not be happier with the website Daniel designed for my practice. He took my vision and brought it to life. The website is a true reflection of who I am as a professional and it comes across very well to potential clients. I tend to be a perfectionist and Daniel worked with me on every last detail to create a flawless final product. I am not the most tech savvy person and Daniel explained everything in a way I could understand and just made things happen (I will never understand all the intricacies of website design). Daniel is responsive, patient, efficient, and talented. I highly recommend Daniel! - Kim (Summit, NJ)Mar 23, 2015
Daniel has provided me with a beautiful, functional website! He is always very quick and efficient, and offers all of this at a very fair price.Mar 16, 2015
I cannot recommend Daniel highly enough. I would be lost without him. He was a pleasure to work with from start to finish - fast, responsive, and meticulous about making things just right. I felt like he really listened to what I wanted and came through for me. He also had many clever suggestions and 'tricks' for optimizing the layout of my site. I can honestly say that my website is exactly what I imagined - and then some.Mar 15, 2015
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? As far as pricing goes, please bear in mind that there are two costs: my costs (what you pay me to design and launch the site) and then there are auxiliary services (such as hosting and domain name registration) that will need to be paid directly to those providers. At this time, I do not provide hosting or domain name registration myself, but I can walk you through the process if it's daunting to you.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was trying to put up a website for my other career as an actor - something that would just have some pictures, my resume, and some reviews. I found a tool called Weebly (which is a great, DIY website builder) which made the process a lot easier, but it also provided a gateway to more questions and explorations about what a website is made of and how it gets published and shown to the world. I began reading more and more, and eventually started hand-coding sites from scratch. Through trial and error, I gradually built up enough confidence to start selling my services to small businesses and individuals.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?I would advise people shopping for web designers to be very clear about what they want - get some example sites together, plan out your content, and even a marketing plan for once the site is launched. This will be of INFINITE help to the designer, as they will be able to construct a customized experience for you based on what you know you'll need. That doesn't mean things can't change in the future, but you'll make life easier for your designer, and you'll have a much more fulfilling experience.
