- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
To learn about me and my flute studio your music lesson is complimentary. Flute lesson rates: $80 for an hour, $60 for 45 minutes, $45 for 30 minutes. Piano rates: $40 for 30 minutes, $50 for 45, $60 for an hour. Base rate for Theory Instruction: $45 for an hour, $35 1/2 hour. The following lesson package is offered year round (paid upfront): 5 lesson package rates: 30 minute (5 lessons)- $216.00 45 minute (5 lessons)- $288.00 60 minute (5 lessons)- $384.00 When a new student is received from a referral, a $20.00 lesson credit is given. Weekly/monthly payment plans are accepted. 24 hour cancellation notice is required, unless due to illness or emergency. Presently lessons are virtual and offer in person at your home.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will make a mutual agreement of how much they can afford for the lesson length. If they are going to study with me long term after the pandemic I Usually create a contract that they will sign.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I recently completed my Masters Degree in Flute Performance at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. I have been teaching since 2016. I am a patient and i explain concepts in a thorough and simplistic terms depending upon the students level. Currently working on becoming a Suzuki Flute Teacher! I am studying the Suzuki flute method, flute pedagogy teaching. Suzuki is a positive reinforcement style of teaching in a fun learning environment. Suzuki flute lessons can start as early as the age of 5.
