I had a leakage issue which was coming from the 3rd floor bathroom through my kitchen ceiling. Jason quickly found the location and issue. The price he quoted to fix the two leaks was very affordable. He was kind enough to quickly drive to buy the parts needed and get right to work. Not only did he fix that, he also figured out our refrigerator issue which was shut off due to a breaker switch being off. Jason is very respectful, professional, honest, knowledgeable, and AFFORDABLE. You can't beat that. I would hire Jason again for any other issues!
He showed up as scheduled, did a nice job caulking the tub. Left a minor mess, but it's a small NYC bathroom and I cleaned it up in a couple of minutes. I'd hire them again.
Jonathan was fabulous! Hired him to assist in setting up a 500sq ft studio. Installed living area/bathroom/and kitchen shelves and hung window shades. Polite, punctual and always returned phone/email messages. Will definitely hire again.
Excellent Plumber. Cost affordable. Efficient and commendable follow-up and recommendations. I will definitely use his services again. Sometimes you are unsure to use websites for professional services but Lopez Home Improvement have my two bathroom plumbing working extremely better. Thank you
We needed to re-caulk and grout our bathroom tub. Mike was very responsive in both emails and phone and is extremely knowledgeable about this and a wide range of home improvement projects. He was on time and totally exceeded our expectations. I would give him 10 stars if allowed.
Greivin was on time and very professional. He Demo'd out my bathroom tile floor and subfloor to access a broken drain pipe. He taped and protected the surrounding so dust wasn't every where. I would use his services again.
Dexter is a nice guy, works hard, provides good value, and sticks with his pricing and dedications. In my situation, I needed two new outlets, both of which appeared to be close to existing power sources. It turns out one actually was, and Dexter efficiently installed a GHCI outlet there for safety and per code, because it's in the bathroom by water. The other one turned out to be near a switch that just controlling a light but had no power. After cutting several squares out of my drywall to explore where to get a line through the wall from my kitchen out to the desired location in living room, we discovered the wall was actually entirely made of very thick brick and was structural for the building. I was already stressed at the cut outs, because that meant added sheet rock patching and paint costs, and now it looked like no outlet was possible. I wanted to drill through the structural wall but Dexter advised it's not smart to do so without permits, as this then moved past normal electrical work in an apartment. He advised snaking the line down the wall and cut out a channel through the sheet rock, around the corner, and then where the box would go, cut out the sheet rock and chisel the brick beyond it to make enough room. I was thinking oh snit, this may turn into more wall damage and mess and who knows if I wind up with an outlet at the end. But Dexter is a good communicator of the various considerations and I figured cool, let's just go for it. He proceeded to spend a solid chunk of time hand carving the channel and snaking the metal wire cable from the existing box to the new living room one around the corner. It all came together as a workable solution. Meanwhile, I now have a mess of open holes and this channel to cover with sheet rock, plaster and then paint over it. But we talked about each step and Dexter made sure to say he doesn't do sheet rock, checking if my other contractor who was pulling my old radiator could handle it. Dexter meanwhile was cool to stick with our original price, knowing I now had to spend more to complete the project, and I think also understanding that he came late each day we did this project (one time was a directions NYC snafu). Once he arrived though, he was alway on top of the job, working hard, and he even swapped out a broken outlet part that we didn't originally include in the estimate. Also, for various reasons connected to the directions snafu, we wound up at Home Depot together and he was patient and accommodating, as it was a supply run more for another project at my place than the few electrical parts we had to purchase for his part. I recommend him if you're looking for someone to help you with your electrical projects.
Edward was receptive initially and was able to come do the job the next day. We had an initial quote from another company for almost $1000 doing unnecessary things to our kitchen and bathroom. Edward did it for a tenth of the price. He is def. our go-to plumber. Thanks so much!
I live in a duplex apartment that has not been updated in 20 years! I am a single mother and know nothing about renovations. I interviewed a few handymen and when I met Pete, I knew he was the one for the job. He didn’t try to take advantage of me and was very reasonable. He was such an amazing help to me that I couldn’t believe I got so lucky. He was fantastic in taking my ideas and making them come true. I ended up redoing every room in my apartment including the bathroom. Pete even took me to Home Depot and the paint store so I can pick up supplies. He saved me a lot of money with his expertise in the products that I needed. He was always on time, a great communicator, extremely easygoing, trustworthy, respectful and always responded via text or a phone call when I needed him. He is an amazing guy! My son and I actually were joking that we were going to miss him when he was finished…. And we do! I will be hiring him again to hang an oversized picture above a staircase soon. I have run a business in Union, NJ for over 20 years, www.Njvision.com. I know how important reviews are for good hard working people and also as a customer. If you would like to reach out to me with any questions about Pete’s work, feel free to email me (Tuli Santiago) at my website. I am difficult to please….Do yourself a favor and stop looking. YOU FOUND HIM! Pete, thank you so much for all your hard work. Here is a picture of the living room floor. LOVE IT!!!!
Juan was extremely reliable. Came exactly when he said he would and very amenable to shifts in the schedule. He did paint work and patching, fixed an electrical outlet, replaced the faucets in the bathroom, hung up with extra support a bunch of weight bearing hooks and racks, put up a commercial sign on the front door and fixed a sticking to the front door. He was affordable, friendly, communicative. Very much recommend.
I want to thank Darin Sliker for all of the help he provided for me and my mother. I live in the state of Va. and my mother lived in N.J. I had been trying to secure a contractor for repairs that were needed in her tenants bathroom. My mother is 85 yrs. young and needless to say she did not know who to contact for this job. So after trying several contractors, a cousin of mine suggested I go online to "Thumbtacks.com and the rest is history! Darin was very friendly, helpful and very informative. He didn't mind me calling, texting or emailing him at any time. That meant so much considering I live out of state. The work that was done to the bathroom was great and I will always be grateful to Darin and those who worked with him on this project!
Konstantinos and his assistant sanded and painted our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. They also installed two backsplash glass panels and painted the cabinet beneath our kitchen sink. They were very flexible about scheduling the job and accommodated several requests we made to postpone. They completed the job on schedule and on budget, were very neat, professional, and courteous. We trusted them in our home. They responded to messages promptly and helped us to figure out how to accomplish what we wanted done. We would definitely recommend them and would use them again.
We had Ted and his team do wainscoting on our stairways, hall, dining room, and bathroom. This team, especially Herag, was very knowledgeable and skilled. They took 4 days to complete the job but it looks flawless and I love it. I would highly recommend them.
Mr Roman has been one of the best contractors I've found on this app! After going through three plumbers he finally diagnosed the problem and completely fixed it so that the sewer ejector system is working and no more flooding problems. He did the work in a day, repaired any holes in the Sheetrock so that it looks brand new and cleaned up after his work. I hired him to solve some other problems that other plumbers had given up on and he tackled the jobs. I will consider him my go to call whenever I need help on my house from now on!
We hires Leo to seal our roof which was leaking. I believe the quote was a little higher than we expected, but we accepted and signed the contract since he could get the work done quickly (next day). His card said something about price match guarantee, so I guess if we had taken our time to get more quotes we might have been able to get a better deal. His quote was only to seal around a leaky vent pipe. Once he got on the roof to do the job he believed the leak was actually coming the seal around the edges of the roof. He sealed the all the edges of our roof in addition to the vent pipe for the same price. So in the end I believe it was a good value since he did a lot more work for the same price. He showed me before and after picture of all his work to ensure we were satisfied. He also guaranteed his work for 6 months. He never really showed up on time. However, he did keep in contact via text messages to let us know he was running late and provided up with updated times to expect him. I have never hired a contractor before, so I don't know how normal this is or not.
James and his team were very professional. James always gave us options based on what we requested and it made us feel that he was being fair and not trying to make a quick buck. The work completed was well done the major renovation was the master bathroom. Our bathroom looks fabulous! Tile work well done and just a clean, good look. Will refer Global Housing always and will certainly call on them again for our next project.
We hired Mark for a small project (reinstalling door frame) and we were so pleased with him that we decided to give him our bathroom renovation project.
I hired Paolo to gut and redo my bathroom. He is very professional, honest, neat, and trustworthy. He is also a really nice, respectful man. His work is beautiful and he and his workers work very hard. He answered my many questions and is very knowledgeable. I would highly recommended him.
The job could not have gone more perfect. My contractor cancelled last minute for a job that needed to be done before Christmas as it was a gift. I hired Al over the phone as I was desperate and he came over right away. I was extremely nervous and worried he may try and over charge due to the circumstances and my need for immediate assistance. He had no reviews for me to read and I have had a few bad experiences with contractors in the past. Al was polite, clean, neat and treated my home as if it was his own sweeping and vacuuming as he went along. I was only planning on having him do the hard labor and I was going to finish the rest on my own. Al was a very pleasant find and I will be referring him to anyone I know who needs a contractor. He did not over charge and went above and beyond to help finish the entire job for me.
Repainting my apartment. Serious company with quality job and good workers.
George is in the process of finishing our bathroom and the whole experience has been incredible. He is a very nice guy and his work quality is of the highest standard. This is one of the best construction experiences we have had to date. Can recommend him with great ease.
