- How did you get started doing this type of work?I am a health and fitness fanatic. I wasn't always though. I used to be obese. I didn't exercise; I ate and drank whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted with no consideration for portion control, calories or my overall health. I realized that the life I was living wasn't the one I wanted. I wanted to be healthy, happy and in shape. I tried every fad diet in order to lose weight, but I still didn't have my ideal body. In the end I was able to lose the weight by eating appropriate portions with a well balanced diet. I also started working out at the gym. I discovered an outlet for my energy, and found exercise to be therapeutic and calming. Soon, I became obsessed with working out, building muscle, and challenging myself. With all the time I spent in the gym, and all of the people I met, I realized that not everybody had my same level of commitment. I knew I could help people; people who are like I used to be, people who think that working out isn't fun, people who don't have time, people who love food and really enjoy a delicious meal. I realized that everybody, regardless of age, gender or body type can benefit from living a healthy lifestyle and having a dynamic and fun workout routine. I want to inspire people, and help them succeed. So I decided to share my passion and become a certified personal trainer.
