When it comes to tutors, Samantha Lullie is everything you could ever expect and more. She is a very positive person and is always happy to get started with a lesson, no matter the subject. I felt like she was genuinely invested in my academic goals, and would do everything and anything in her power to help me achieve them. She easily adapted to the ways I retain information, ensuring I was able to make the most out of each session. Thanks to her, my ACT score increased significantly in all of the different sections. Samantha is warm, open, and easy to work with, and she creates an easygoing environment that makes the sessions as enjoyable as they are educational.
Alex helped me write a paper for class in my junior year of high school this year. I had to find some of the major themes in Othello and I was stumped! She sat with me and read through some of the big parts of the book and helped me get started on the outline of the paper and the after I had written it, she edited it for me and let me know what I could do to help me write easier in the future. Definitely helped! I got an A on it and Alex is now helping me with college essays!
Every time she proof read my papers I received an A. She is very quick to get your papers back to you and I am always working on a last minute basis. She has helped me learn what I needed to improve on and I will continue to use her for all my my college papers and I even recommend her for your thesis papers. She is fantastic at what she does!! Even omen of my professors loves her and wrote on my graded paper to tell her hi. 🤣🤣

Tutor Doctor provides one-on-one, in-home tutoring. Unlike some programs, we don't follow a set syllabus beginning on lesson 1. Your student might not need help until lesson 10, so you've wasted 9 lessons of tutoring to follow a strict syllabus. Our tutors continually evaluate student progress a reinforce learning as each individual student requires. Some students need ongoing homework support, while others need prior years' foundational work. Yet others just need help staying organized and to build confidence. With a one-on-one approach over time, the students ability, skills, knowledge, and confidence will improve.

I tutor students in the areas of reading at any level, elementary math, manuscript and cursive handwriting, and writing. I was an elementary teacher for 13 years, and earned my master's degree in elementary education in 2008. My master's thesis was on teaching reading. I loved being a teacher, but grew tired of the bureaucracy. So tutoring seemed a much more fulfilling outlet for teaching.
I enjoy working with children that need help in math, reading, and written language. I have found that children that have difficulty learning usually are missing some of the basic skills learned earlier in their school experience. I believe in identifying those areas of need and then helping a child learn those missing skills is essential. As we fill in the missing skills, we are also work on grade-level skills.
