Mike is extremely knowledgeable in the history, technique and philosophy of jiu jitsu. He made lessons both fascinating and super practical for real-life situations. Also, he taught me how to break someone’s arm 5 ways. I hope I never need it, but I’m glad I know how to do it.
I came into UFC Fairfax to look for someone to personally train me, as I've never been the person to willingly work out on my own. Thankfully, Max was the coach to approach me and offer his services. I have never felt so accomplished, in shape and motivated to consistently work out - and that's all because of Max. He gives you the workout you need, pushes you to be great, but doesn't overwork you past your limits. I would definitely recommend him, and his kickboxing class, to anyone in the Fairfax area.
