Jeff is a wonderful tutor. I did quite a bit of research before picking Jeff (though this site). His rate was more than reasonable, given the amount of expertise he possesses in the Spanish language. He's a pleasant and cool guy, too (muy chido!)... his personality really allowed me to relax and get over the "shyness hump" that typically comes with learning a new language. I would recommend Jeff 10/10 times to anyone in Santa Fe and/or wanting to take online classes.

We call her “Jeanne Poppins” and highly recommend her to take care of your child. From the moment she arrived with a little trinket for our five-year-old daughter and a willingness to get on my daughter's level to play, we knew this would be a great fit. Jeanne has been a tremendous asset to us in getting our child ready for kindergarten. She used her extensive teaching knowledge to create a mock school day complete with transitions, stars, and the occasional homework. Besides the academics, she is wonderfully creative and fun; many a fantastic art project came home as well. My daughter adores her. Your child will too.

My daughter is 13,homeschooled and dreaded math. After a month or so with Josh, she actually( to my utmost surprise), said that it was fun. She looks forward to the tutoring sessions, and since we began them, has not uttered one math complaint. She also likes his book"The Algebra Survival Guide". After working from it, she soon realized that it was the first time that she understood what algebra is all about. I highly recommend him for anyone struggling with math, or those who want to further their math skills.I believe Josh would be equally as good with any subjects he chose to teach, as he is truly a gifted and thorough teacher. He has a very thoughtful and comprehensive knowledge of both subject and the needs of his student.

About

My work stands out because I have a deep understanding of the link between a person's emotional state of mind and his/her ability to learn. It is difficult to take in new information if a child is feeling scared, worried or just plain insecure. I am able to create a safe environment in which students are able to ask questions and take risks. I am also able to efficiently break concepts down into manageable pieces so the material is not overwhelming. Having an easy and natural rapport with kids, I am patient and understanding yet have high expectations for their learning. I have helped many children and their families become more confident in both academic endeavors and their ability to create a successful learning environment.

About

I am a writer and editor with years of experience working in both large and small business environments as well as with individuals on one-time projects. My career got its start in a non-for-profit research and engineering center where I managed a staff of fifteen in the production of proposals, technical reports, marketing literature, and other printed materials. In addition, I have written and edited audio-visual scripts, brochures, how-to manuals, and marketing literature for technical audiences and the general public for a national government program. For the same program, I produced and presented workshops and conferences for real estate, construction, and finance professionals in major cities throughout the U.S. More recently, I was responsible for creating web content for a small manufacturing company, using desktop publishing and working with an illustrator to produce both technical and general information articles. I have written scripts for a video production company specializing in education and career topics. These aired on PBS and cable TV. I am currently working with an individual author, preparing a book for publication.
