- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a price list available for items that I make (pillows, cushions, table runners, etc.). For all other projects, my standard rate is $30/hr.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, a phone conversation to discuss desired outcomes and see if we are a good fit as far as my ability to deliver what they are looking for, etc. Once onsite, there will be more detailed discussion and mapping out of a plan to proceed, as well as projected timelines. Clear expectations on both sides will be set out, so that we are all on the same page from the outset of the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of my training is hands-on, in-the-trenches, doing the work. I started out doing my own projects, then projects for friends, and it grew into a business. I have never advertised, yet I have stayed as busy I want to be through word-of-mouth recommendations.
