Darleen is a great motivator. She has kept me on track with my healthy life and eating habit goals. I have historically had very high cholesterol and joined Darleen's groups social media to try and reduce my numbers. Thanks to her and her motivation I am finally at a good number, and there were no medications involved. I have a significant family history of this, along with heart disease and she has helped me start on the right path to reduce the outside risks to my health. Darleen keeps her groups motivated. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $50 for a 30 minute health coaching session. You may also receive a 10% discount when you purchase 3 or more sessions or a 20% discount when you purchase 10 or more sessions. Research shows that it takes 16-26 sessions to really make lasting change. I offer several different packages for different budgets to help you reach your goals. I am not currently accepting new Personal Training clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?For both personal training and health coaching, I always offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to ensure we are a good fit. This gives you a chance to know me and it gives me a chance to better understand your needs and goals. It is very important for you to feel comfortable with me because we will be working closely together. It is also important for me to make sure that I have the skills to help you achieve your goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I received my personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and my health coaching certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I have also received certifications as a Weight Loss Specialist (WLS) and Behavior Change Specialist (BCS) from NASM. I am also a John Maxwell Certified Life Coach. I subscribe to numerous journals and attend conferences and I am required to maintain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to maintain all of my certifications.
