Rick was awesome! I recently moved into a new house, which is much smaller than the last one. I needed help moving a bunch of large furniture from inside the house into the garage. Rick responded to my project within minutes of it being posted and within an hour he was at my house. He was super professional, courteous and personable. We were able to get the stuff moved into the garage quickly and he even offered to drop an old sofa I didn't want any longer at GoodWill. I have a slew of other projects I need to get done around my house and I plan on using Rick. I highly recommend him! Thanks again Rick!
Pool pump went out on my rental property and within 1 hour 24/7 was there to diagnose the problem. Great price on the replacement pump and I selected 24/7 to start pool service as well.
Scott epoxied my 3 car garage and did a fantastic job. From the free estimate he gave me until the completion of the job, Scott was friendly, professional and courteous and kept us informed of every step of the job. Also, Scott's prices are fair and reasonable. My garage floor looks great and we are very pleased with the finished product. I highly recommend Scott and plan on hiring him again for future projects. Do not hesitate to call Scott if you are looking for a excellent and knowledgeable handyman.
We hired Chana to repair a home that had been extensively damaged by tenants and make it ready to put on the market to sell. The list of items they repaired is extensive - holes in the drywall (one so large it went all the way thru the wall of the house), holes in the stucco, replaced blinds, replaced ceiling fans, replaced toilets, replaced bathroom lights and towel racks, refinished tubs and sinks, cleaned windows, cleaned an existing ceiling fan, installed a new microwave, removed destroyed carpet and replaced with new, deep, deep cleaning doesn't even begin to describe the dirt they had to clean in the entire 1800 sq ft house, priming and painting entire house, repair and repaint garage door and front door, paint the stucco that was repaired, repairing and replacing doors, locks, door frames, hauling off trash and personal items the tenant had left behind, cleaning garage walls and floor and repainting, pressure washing driveway, and I'm sure at least 20 other items I can't recall. The dirt and destruction in this home were beyond anything I have ever encountered. Chana and her crew tackled the project like true professionals. The attention to detail in every room was something I never expected. We live in a different state and I was very apprehensive about not seeing what was going on in the house. I quickly discovered there was no need to worry. Chana was in contact with me everyday-multiple times a day if she felt it was necessary. She coordinated purchases and deliveries with me by phone-I never had to leave the state. When Chana was finished with the house it looked like it did when it was purchased 8 years ago. Impressed, appreciative, grateful, thankful-these are words I would use to explain my experience with Renew All Construction but they don't even start to convey how happy I am with the work that was done. The house went under contract in 2 days-unfortunately financing for the buyer was a problem so its back on the market. Our realtor mentioned a couple of items he thought we should address and Chana will be fixing them this week. I could not be more impressed.
randy was very knowledgeable, a completed the work in a timely manner. He fixed a number of things wrong with the house, to include but not limited to the garage door, installing a new. bedroom door, installing a new faucet, fixing holes in the wall, and the countertop. The only thing I would say that could have been better is, bringing all the materials that you need to complete the job instead of charging 30% mark up to go get the materials, but I was given the option to go get the materials and save money by doing so. Some people may not have the time to go do this. All in all i would use The hired man again in the future for any of my general contracting needs.
Dan took on my project of tiling my first floor of our house. I had bought wood like porcelain tile and was looking for a good installer. My first choice was on Craigslist, but that was an experience on its own that I would not want to do again. Thank God I didn't hire the installer on CL. I never heard of thumbtack before my friend told me about that is where he finds skilled people. So I found Dan...He is very knowledgable in his trade. He found the time in his busy schedule to squeeze me in. Him and Francsico came ready to work and jumped to it. The way my tiles were it would take 4 days Dan told me. And it took exactly that. If you need anything done with passion and heart, Dan is the man to call.
I tried to paint my son's bathroom, but after I painted the walls I took the painters tape off, and I discovered that the paint I used bled under the tape. I really didn't know how to fix it. I reached out for help on Thumbtack and within minutes Chris from Johlfs & Sons got in contact with me. He came out the same day and gave me an estimate, which was very reasonable. He said he could start the next day. He came on time and did a fantastic job! He re-painted the ceiling, fixed the areas where the paint bled through, and re-caulked around the shower/tub. I am really pleased with the results. Additionally, the price was what was quoted in the estimate- great price! Chris was very clean, thorough, and professional. Thank you, Chris, for the great experience. Definitely will be a returning customer!
It was a pretty extensive staining woodworking job. 3 large wooden doors with window lights on each side needed to be sanded to the bare wood, re-stained, and sealed. Juan is definitely an experienced pro. About a half dozen other painters I called do not even 'do staining of doors'. The price was extremely fair for the amount of work and for the truly fantastic results. Thanks so much!
I accepted Gil's proposal based on the fact that he mentioned he had no overhead, like the bigger, more corporate companies, and therefore could be more fairly priced around my budget. I was very specific about everything I wanted to do, during our meeting, and I even wrote down an agreement with a list of everything I expected. I mentioned that I would like to physically go along with him to buy paints and baseboards, when it came time. We agreed on 30% upfront and 70% upon proper completion of all listed work. I'll list my experiences by positives and negatives: -Positives: Gil is quick to respond to messages and texts, he offered ideas as to how we could tackle the project. He's got a gentle soul, and he's a nice and respectful person. Our agreement in summary: Pop corn removal/texture application, includes planning, equipment, materials, area prep, roll/finish texture (Orange Peel) Every ceiling removed of pop corn. Wallpaper Removal/Glass removal. Includes everything plus setup and cleanup. Interior House Painting, scrape, sand, patch holes, defects, roll/spray or brush all walls, and all ceilings removed of wallpaper. Everything included, except cost of paint (which we were going to buy together) Knocking down 2 walls, to open up the rooms (Kitchen and livingroom/diningroom installing baseboards around the whole house. I gave him 30% as agreed. The first issue is, some wallpapers weren't removedas agreed, in the dining room, they were painted over instead, and when i realized this, I brought it up to Gil. He did rectify the issue, but I was sore at the fact that it wasn't done properly the first time around. The kitchen wall wasn't torn down and opened as I requested, and Gil mentioned that there was a load bearing issue. I feel others have done this successfully, and he should have been able to offer a solution, instead, we turned it into a window/bar situation, (which added costs, because now I had to hire someone else to make a bar, and i wasn't given a break on the price) The job took a lot longer than I was promised. I Hired gil on May 5th, and it wasn't completed until around the 19th. The master bedroom wasn't all done to satisfaction, because of some unforeseen circumstances, and all the mirrors which I'd mentioned to be disposed off, are still in my garage, and I believe Gil has left it up to me to dispose of them, which wasn't our agreement The spray painting was good enough, but every single door frame has paint unevenly bleeding into its edges. I don't feel proper prep time was dedicated to the edges and lines. I've had to hire someone else to come paint the frames, to clean them up. The wallpaper removal was very impressive, and I bet time consuming. He removed all the wallpaper as requested, the only issue I see with that is, the surface wasn't smoothed out properly, and some areas on the wall especially towards the floor, are a little rough. Altogether, commendable work. The baseboards weren't painted before installation, and I wasn't informed that this would make it difficult to paint, in the future. Having hired someone else to do the painting, it costs so much more. The installation was fantastic, everything fits, and everything is smooth, and properly caulked and ready for painting. I was never told when the paints were bought, yet, i had to reimburse for the purchases, and I still haven't found any of the cans. -The closets weren't prepped properly, and have uneven paint lines going to them, and at the corners and edges, the pop corn texture still shows. I think if they were not going to paint the closets, they should have covered it properly. Although some things were left in less than good condition, for the most part, everything was done beautifully, we didn't go over my budget, but we also took short cuts on some things that were agreed, mostly because I felt they took a little longer than I'd hoped, and by the end of it all, I was just ready for them to be done, so I could get back to my life. Overall, I'm satisfied with the job that was done, for the budget.
They ended up remodeling my entire house. From floors to ceilings. Literally! The entire kitchen/bedrooms/bathrooms/living room. They pulled all of the flooring in the entire house, and laid all new flooring. Also they built me custom made cabinets.
James & Rebecca took a traditional chest of drawers and turned it into a piece of art. I would definitely hire them again. Very good people.
We initially hired Raymond for some cabinet assembly. He and his employee, Pete, did an exceptional job for us - even leveling, putting in place and hanging the wall cabinets. We subsequently hired them for a larger job of tile installation in our two bedrooms. This turned out beyond our expectations. These men take pride in their work and go above and beyond. I am guessing they can do most any project you need done and do it well. We will definitely be hiring high rollers in the future.
We had Robert do a whole house remodel. M&R services repaired Sheetrock damage in the home, painted the ceilings, walls, closet, garage. They installed baseboards, hardwood flooring (not laminate,) tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms, and carpeting in the bedrooms. They also did an epoxy flooring in the garage. An extended set of double crown molding was installed. Six ceiling fans were installed and light fixtures throughout the house were updated. An evaporative cooling unit was installed in the garage. Kitchen cabinets were replaced with lights mounted underneath. I love the way the work was completed. Robert and his crew were polite and helpful in explaining the process. They were always on the lookout for small things which can hold up the process. I will utilize Robert and his crew on my next home project.
Did a great job painting the interior of our house! Worked with our schedule and gave us a great price.
Repaired dry-rot in patio roof and replaced colunm support
Jimmy was amazing! He wallpapered my half bath downstairs. My walls were textured so he sanded and primed the walls to a flat finish and then applied the wallpaper perfectly! It is so rare to find someone who knows what they are doing in regards to installing wallpaper!! I was super impressed it was applied perfectly around pluming fixtures and corners and baseboards. I would recommed Jimmy to anyone looking for wallpaper work!
Sears was prompt to provide me with a proposal/costs as well as suggestions to purchase the replacement parts needed for general bathroom repairs. In the end, since hourly rate pricing between contractors was negligible, we elected to go with Sears after meeting the technician, Warren, who we were comfortable with. The repairs were completed satisfactorily with one issue remaining for which I contacted Warren directly today. I am confident he will return my call and schedule/remedy an issue not completely resolved. I would consider using Sears Home Services again in the future.
I had BMF Painting come to our house. I needed the entire basement done plus a couple rooms on the main floor. Shelley and her crew did a marvelous job. Not only did they do everything perfect, they were on time, professional, and fun to be around. I felt very comfortable having them in our home. They got the job done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend BMF Painting to anyone who needs quality painters to paint their home.
Thank you LV Artistic Concrete. I love my garage floor. Will definitely recommend your services to others.
Chris and his team did a great job! Very affordable compared to other quotes I received and now my garage floors look amazing!
Installed six cabinets - replaced garage door bottom gasket, changed electric switches, and door bell button. all very quickly & very professionally done. I have more work lined up for him tomorrow.
KWK Maintenance handled several projects at my home. He installed wood floor in my bedroom, added crown molding and baseboards throughout. He also installed cabinets in my garage. Great job and very reasonable!! Highly recommend them.
Flawless. They came on schedule, got the painting of all the eves and fascia done on time, and the quality was good!
We hired John and he built us shelves and a work bench in our garage. Also he removed existing carpet and replaced it with wood flooring. He did an excellent job and his pricing was very reasonable. After 2 months we hired him again to do a patio cover. We can highly recommend him, he is trustworthy and very reliable. Working with him was a very pleasurable experiment. Johannes & Barb Vollbrecht

Everything about Andy Steinborn is professional. He and his workers arrived at the same time every day on the job. His workers were professional, left the remodel in an orderly manner each day, courteous and respectful. I love my home now! I had the kitchen cabinets painted and new hardware put on, granite countertops put in kitchen and bathroom, laminate flooring installed over entire downstairs. Perfect job! I will use Tajo-One for my upstairs remodel.
