Craftsman / Farmhouse,
Rustic / Southwestern,
I started using Pamela's services about 8 years ago. I own several rental/vacation properties in town. She has stripped and restained cabinets, chose paint colors and then painted (all four of the interiors of my houses, & exterior of my 2 story 3000 SF house), chose wallpaper, granite, flooring, hardware, fixtures, drawn remodel plans, oversaw all plumbing & electrical work, & worked with my contractor for larger projects. She personally tiled my kitchen counters with Galaxy granite and refaced my fireplace to match. She also installed a glass backsplash, & gave my kitchen the wow it needed on a tight budget! I have been impressed with her hands on capabilities and knowledge. Pamela has a keen eye for picking colors, flooring, hardware, counters, styles, etc. Her ability to understand what people want is uncanny: She can see the forest through the trees. She can design a space that not only keeps pace with current style trends but keep it unique enough to not just be another carbon-copy. My last property took the cake. She fully furnished my entire 4 bedroom vacation rental including all linens, kitchen appliances, cooking supplies., beds, furniture, and all items needed to be a fully functional vacation rental & staged everything by herself. It bears mentioning that I give her a very tight and strict budget, and she always finds a way to make everything look expensive & sticks to the budget I've set. I never have to lift a finger when I hire Pamela. This last job she did prompted me to write about my experiences the past eight years (& seeing some pictures on her profile of work she's done for me throughout the years). My guests always comment on the house and I can only say "thank you, Pamela did it" She has great vision, work ethic, and will treat you right. I recommend her services fully.Oct 24, 2014Creative Interiors's reply
Thank you Arin for your vote of confidence. I enjoyed every project you've given me over the past 8 years & each & every challenge; even the challenge of meeting your budgets! I look forward to working on future projects. I also enjoy being your Realtor & am happy to have found you such great homes at fantastic prices! Let me know when you're ready for your next Real Estate purchase ;-) It's been an adventure!
Working with Pamela Day is an absolute delight! She answers any and all questions, listens well, takes the time to explain her thoughts and decisions, and has an amazing energy level. What she accomplished with our staging project with our short timeline went well beyond our expectations. Her design, delivery, set-up, and removal fees were lower than other quotes I received. She gives you a lot of value for your dollar!May 22, 2016Verified
We contracted with Pam to paint and stage a home we own in Las Vegas. In addition to painting and staging, we added to her work load by asking her to take care of cleaning too since we would be delayed arriving in town. She graciously took on the extra work and did a great job! Pam chose beautiful colors and did an EXCELLENT job painting--great cut-in, no drips or sloppy spots. The house was immaculate and staged beautifully in the time she estimated. She went the extra mile coordinating with the tenant to estimate the job and picking up keys. Pam is very straight forward so we communicated well. We highly recommend Pam for anyone needing a professional stager or designer. Bob and Pat HueyDec 21, 2014VerifiedCreative Interiors's reply
Thank you so much Bob & Pat for your lovely review. It was a pleasure working for you and getting your home in tip top shape for sale. Thank you for being dream clients! Gave me a job, left me alone & let me do my job, & gave me creative power to boot (I really like the colors I picked out too ;-) ) Now lets get that home sold for top dollar!! I hope you enjoy your holidays. Sincerely, Pamela
We combined two separate households & generations. Needless to say, this is not an easy task to please one who leans toward modern decor & another who wants to display a lifetime of collectibles. Pam has been friendly, professional & so easy to work with. From helping us organize, giving ideas for furniture placement to maximizing storage, to going shopping. She quickly responds & offers her expertise on every level. This is an ongoing project & in the months going forward I have no doubt Pam will help pull this together to make our home one we will love.Jan 27, 2015VerifiedCreative Interiors's reply
Thank you Dianne for your kind words. I have enjoyed assisting you thus far and look forward to when we are finished and you can kick your feet up and relax, FINALLY! You've certainly earned it! I know the finished project will be exactly what you've been invisioning.
I met Pamela last night and it was a pleasure. She was supportive and interested in what my like and dislikes are. I look forward to her ideas and help in pulling everything together. Oh and she didn't mind my dogs. So that was a huge plus.Aug 29, 2014VerifiedCreative Interiors's reply
Thank you Kelly! I very much look forward to working with you, & building your ideas to create all the spaces you have been dreaming of. Your dogs are lovely too...a reflection of their owner. Lets roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty!!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I do not follow the norm as far as pricing as a Degreed Interior and Architectural Designer. That is why when you receive a quote from me, it will most likely say that I need more detailed information. I price depending on the scope of work and how detailed the work is. I always come in lower than other designers (as I've been told from my clients & know from being in the Industry). My overhead is low, so I make sure I pass along savings to my clients. I am always willing to talk and negotiate once we have a consultation. In most cases I do charge a consultation fee. This fee covers the time I spend initially before we move into contract. If my services are contracted, that fee will be credited back to you. I feel that any qualified professional should charge a fee for their time. If a professional does not have confidence in themselves and the services they offer, I know I wouldn't trust in their ability to complete my project and secure the best pricing for me. A professional should value and be valued for their time and work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have purchased & taught myself a few new programs that have become popular in my field since attaining my degree. I like how programs keep improving & so when the opportunity presents itself, so do I! I still very much enjoy hand drafting though, & probably always will.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Just the passion I have for it...and always re-arranging my space even as a child. I love color, fabric, finishes, hand drafting, and pulling it all together.
