- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I occasionally go to Makeup technique classes. My guilty pleasure is watching YouTube videos on makeup tutorials. Some are informative or amazing, some are just plain hilarious.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It somehow transitioned and blossomed from a hobby into a career. My interest in makeup started around 10 years old when I'd do my friends makeup, insisting on making "Before" and "After" shots with my mother's Polaroid camera. I then worked in cosmetics for Elizabeth Arden, Lancome, Chanel, Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown to name a few. I realized after 17 years of working for someone else, that I should start my own business. I've been freelancing for nearly 6 years now.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I most often do weddings, photo shoots for models, catalogs and some red carpet events.
