Great experience for these two 80+ year old seniors with the company. Our furnace would only run for 4 hours and the temp was 64degrees in the morning both Thursday and Friday. Contacted Air Fax. They did not have time available for Friday so we scheduled 9am Sat and would put up with the cold for the night. Ava contacted us and indicated Joe Taylor could be here Friday between 2:45-4:45 instead. He arrived promptly at 2:45PM. He checked the thermostat and it was fine. Found the problem with a unneeded 2nd thermostat installed. He explained the problem and repair needed - remove it and connect only to the thermostat on the wall. He made some adjustments to the furnace as well. Very professional in then checking several ceiling vents with thermometers to be certain the heat was working as it was supposed to. Joe is professional, considerate, thorough, patient and exceptional. The company gets an exuberant and worth while 5 STAR rating. The cost was only $200 which brought another smile to our faces in these inflationary times and tight budgets. P.S. The temps are now consistent and where we want/need them to be to stay worm and comfortable..

This is an EXCELLENT review. I will give the bottom line up front and then go into details. Pros * Excellent customer service!! This goes first * Price Match Competitors * Knowledgeable workers * Positive Attitudes Neutral * Not the best price - had to match * Ruud ranks 4/5 when comparing against different non-biased websites. The coils have been improved, but with any A/C your biggest concern will be the INSTALLATION. No matter how good your system, if it is not installed properly you will have issues Cons * Initially my previous unit worked better - see below --- Detailed Review --- Prior to awarding Air Fix the job: I had zero concerns of my AC until Goettl arrived and said 'The sky is falling and broke my capacitor'. I hired Goetll to do a tune up before the summer came and left with a fixed capacitor (hmmm) and quote of $8K for one unit. That sparked a mission to get the best quote from the best contractor. I went thru 6 different vendors that all give the 'song and dance' and naturally trash their competitors. Home Depot (3rd party), Costco (3rd party), Thumbtack (multiple) and of course Goettl. My previous A/Cs were a 1991 Carrier 2 & 3 ton. They looked well kept, but I didn't want my first summer in Vegas to be the one where these fell through. I had one contingency for all vendors. They all step into my master bedroom and not mess up the super coolness of this room. 75 on the thermostat and I'm sitting in my room with a parka. Don't mess this up..So the vendors: Home Depot and Costco both used Carrier, Amman & Lennox. Top brands. Very expensive. Thank-you, Next. Goettl, who I initially thought was price gauging was less - but not excessively - provided a single A/C quote with Goodman (sub to Amman). Residential Service Center had the BEST quote with the best equipment Lennox units. Air Fix came in under the big competitors with Ruud systems, 16 seer "free" upgrade. Residential Service Center is a sub to National Home Warranty. Both of these companies have very poor reviews. The offered the better equipment with the risk of poor service, 14 seer. When I attempted to call and talk to them, the phone went to voicemail that was full so that no message could be left. No...no...no. So I had to make a decision and told Air Fix about the price quote with 14 seer equipment. They downgraded and were able to price match apples for apples. They took out the small trinkets of freebies (cheap programmable thermostats - not a big deal, I have my nests). And made the decision to go with reputation over Lennox. And it wasn't a personal knock on them, it's just what consumer reports states. The Ruuds are very good systems, but not the best. HOWEVER, like I said initially - you can have the top of the line system and a poor installation. What does that get you? Rubbish So the day of the installation came. Cooled the house down prior to that happening and then the units were installed. Took a good part of the day - when complete my room was not blowing like before. The AC was cold but not blowing hard. My Iceland turned to Las Vegas with AC. meh. I was told to let the walls cool and give it a go, and if it wasn't cool - they would install an air duct booster. Fair enough, It's not there but I'll go along with it. So I did that. It didn't work. I called the next day and said nope. I can't sleep. Let's fix this. They setup an appointment soon after. That night I was able to sleep so figured that maybe there was a "breaking in" period like new cars and cancelled the appointment. After a couple weeks enough was enough and I told them that we had to take care of the unit. Jesse and John took care of the unit - and I'm starting to get back to where I was...hopefully with a reduced bill next month :). Would I use Air Fix again. Yes - Customer Service is HUGE! And they met that mark. I'd probably wait until my systems are in a Hail Mary state, but they would be the folks to get the work. You pay for excellent service and if you didn't - you'll wish you had!
