My 15 year old son began playing the violin a little over a year ago. He has been taking violin lessons at Nevada Music Academy for the past 6 months. He has improved tremendously under the instruction of Dr. Julie Jack. She is a very accomplished and talented violinist and teacher. Dr. Jack is a patient, knowledgeable, and passionate instructor. She has instilled that passion into my son. During the weekly lessons Dr. Jack models how it should sound, plays along with him, as well as gives him constructive feedback on how to improve his technique. He looks forward to his lessons every week. We feel very fortunate to have Dr. Jack as my son's violin instructor.
Like the way she teaches.
The price quoted is a MONTHLY price for an hour lesson once per week. Most of my students take 1/2 hour lessons to begin with and that is $115/month. Each student, whether they are 4 years old or 64 years old, is an individual. I listen to the goals and desires of each person and come up with a course of learning that will achieve those wants. I want to ensure that the student's experience with me is one that will foster a lifelong love of making music. All students are given fundamental skills needed to play an instrument. Once the student achieves some basic command and control over the instrument, we start adding in personal preferences. It keeps me fresh as well learning new music, groups and singers that are popular today. I have also been known to download music that is too hard for a student and write an easier arrangement for them.

I've been teaching instruments since 1978, making learning to play an instrument fun. I make sight-reading easy by breaking complex rhythms down to their simple basics. I help you develop a sense of pride and accomplishment in your abilities. You are your only limitation. Don't limit yourself.
I've been playing both saxophone and clarinet for over a decade. I have performed at Carnegie Hall as well as prestigious music festivals like the Midwest Clinic and the Monterey Jazz Festival. I teach both classical and jazz. Any ages and skill levels are accepted. I have flexible hours, and parents or guardians are allowed to sit in the lessons if they would like. I've taught at several middle schools and high schools as well as learning centers where I taught children from 4-16.
I have been playing clarinet for a while, and would love to help those who have newly started and would like to learn the basics of clarinet playing.
