Introduction: Teddy Davis Jr. hails from Boston, Massachusetts. Interested in music from a very young age, he was already performing at age eight. Teddy both studied and taught at the New England Conservatory of Music during the years from 1966 to 1976.
As the former lead vocalist with the Del Vikings, the Platters and background vocalist with Jimmy Vaughn of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Mr. Davis continued to develop his musical style. He also has his own band, The Teddy Davis Jr. Group. Throughout his musical career, Teddy Davis Jr. has performed in the US and abroad, combining his many talents.
Along with production and musical direction, Mr. Davis' talents also include serving as master of ceremonies, choreographing, dancing, singing and playing more than eight instruments. He has lived in Las Vegas for 25 years. Currently, he performs locally with several different groups as musical director, lead vocalist and bass guitarist. He is also an actor and teacher. You may recognize him as the narrator from the Blues School House program at the Mandalay Bay's House of Blues. Mr. Davis is also an accomplished teacher of vocals, choreography and many instruments at several of the local public schools and community centers.
