- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Unlike many photographers who charge by the hour or by package deals, I prefer to work a pricing system on a case by case basis with the client. During the initial consultation I ask various questions about the client. Not just what they want in photos but as to who they are as a person, their interests, goals and such. Really to use whatever answers they say or any stories about their life and use that in a way as a guide to what their photo shoot concept will be. For example if a woman tells me she's been a die hard sports fan I would do a shoot surrounding a sports theme. If a woman is into exotic cars we would go about using exotic sports cars to their shoot. I have always wanted to make every photo shoot unique to the client and not so much cookie cutter concept of just another boring studio background shot many photographers do. I find it unoriginal and quite boring to be honest. Once I get the shoot concept idea the next issue is regarding payment. Because I don't have such a set standard package like most photographers I am very flexible in working out a deal with you regarding what you can afford and what I'm willing to do for that amount. I allow credit card payments as well as payment plans for photo shoots $500 or more. The payment plans where there is a remaining balance can be applied to even after the photo shoot itself is completed. Though under this agreement the photos of the finished work will not be released until balance is paid off. You will be able to get to see a sample of the finished photos they just won't be released until then.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started my female model photography experience as a model recruiter for various photographers where I lived. As part of my job I had to recruit and photograph potential models for their photographers as their next subject to their portfolio. This taught me many aspects to my business today such as photographing the client, sales, marketing and networking.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I specialize in many model portfolios for aspiring models and entertainers to actresses to start or further their career. Whether it'd be a portfolio needed to work in the entertainment industry or to the film and modeling industry. Vast majority of my work is related to sexy lingerie to tasteful nude work for a client's personal reasons such as a gift for their significant others for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries almost any type of special occasion in their life. Some are from women who feel insecure about their age and looks so they want to have a day in which their looks are captured beautifully in photo images that will last a lifetime.
