Professionalism at it's finest. With a dessert portfolio that is out of this world, Bon Vivant was definetly one of the best decision i made to cater my dessert party. Everyone LOVED the Snickers Delight and kept calling the next day for more. I'm looking foward for them to host my next dessert party. Overall it was Professional, it was oringal, it was Bon Vivant!!!

Total disaster for our daughters wedding on May 30th. They were supposed to be at the reception venue set up and ready for guest arriving at 7:30. Received at text at 6:48 -"don't want to freak you out but running late"!!! Really - don't freak out. Long story short - thanks to the majority of our guest pitching (yes really!) in to have everything ready by the time the bride and groom arrived at 8pm this was by far the most embarassing, unprofessional experience I have ever had. Don't hire an amateur - if your doing a destination event like we were, pay the astronomical prices for the hotel catering service; it will be worth it in the long run.

Food was just decent. We hosted an informal backyard bbq style dinner in July 2015, to thank our guests that attended our destination wedding in Las Vegas. The food was brought to the vacation home we were renting, and dropped off with barely any verbal exchange being made. My husband looked at the food and came and got me to say there was no way it was going to feed everyone. We ordered food for 45 people, and the bulk of the meal had run out before a handful of our guests had eaten. My husband ended up having to grill chicken in his tuxedo for our hungry guests. When approaching the subject with Samantha, I was informed that "Midwest portions must be different than the portion size we are used to". I would have gladly paid to feed 60 people, if it would have meant our 44 actual guests would have had enough to eat! How embarrassing! We were offered a very small financial amount back from the company for this situation, which didn't make up for the number of guests that had no food to eat. I had very easy and seamless communication prior to our event. I assumed they would be wonderful to work with, but was disappointed!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always enjoyed cooking from a young age. The only jobs, besides the military, that I have done have been in a restaurant.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure the chef you are looking for is able to provide you with your wants, not what they want to give you. It is your event, it should be your way! Also, try a sample of their work to make sure it is to your liking.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I am an Army Veteran with a great amount of discipline. I like to go above and beyond the standard, settling for nothing but the best!
